    Instructor: John Lienhard
    In this video, four scenarios are presented wherein the heat transfer between a pan and its handle, and between the handle and the room are constrained in a variety of ways, and the resultant temperature profiles are discussed.

      When my professor come in the class he pick a pen and write on the board (gz1+h1+(v1^2)/2)+q0=(gz2+h2+(v2^2)/2)+w0 this is steady state energy flow equation lecture on your book
      me: WTF i dont know anything except formula. Jesus

    The inventors of the Computer are the only capable ones to create a high-quality video 9 years ago compared to the pathetic videos even of 2023!
    This video is extraordinary for a video editor and a mechanical engineer like me. Thanks, MIT!

    Everyone should watch this video. After this, you should stop once and for all to mix the two terms.

    What if the net flow heat from the pan to the handle is greater than the net flow heat from the handle to the room, But both flow heats are constant with respect to time. will this be at steady-state?

    • @cricinformation2424
      @cricinformation2424 2 года назад +1

      No,the heat addition and rejection has to be same to consider it as a steady state

    DOES ANYONE KNOW THE ANSWER IM STRESSING PLZZZZZ IS THIS AN EXAMPLE OF EQUILIBRIUM OR STEADY STATE A COLONY OF ANTS IS GOING ABOUT ITS DAILY ROUTINE IN AN ANTHILL. THE POPULATION OF THE ANTHILL IS CONSTANT. SO EQUILIBRIUM OR STEADY STATE AND WHY ?

    • @user-kb7oe5wr7c
      @user-kb7oe5wr7c 7 лет назад +7

      I would say it's an example of STEADY STATE, because new ants are constantly being born and others are dying - constant number.
      If it was EQUILIBRIUM, then no ants are born and no ants die - constant number.

    • @musicgeek6687
      @musicgeek6687 6 лет назад +3

      It's in equilibrium....since no. Of ants dying and no. Of ants giving birth are equal....... according to me you can't describe a steady state using just the anthill...you would need a surrounding for it....as said in the video the anthill is isolated and therefore there is no possibility of steady state

    • @falnesioghander6929
      @falnesioghander6929 5 лет назад

      @@musicgeek6687 I don't think East Heart said that the anthill is isolated. Also, for us to describe a STEADY STATE or EQUILIBRIUM we must be analyzing the interaction between two things. What two things are being compared by East Heart?
      Considering that it is the colony number at different time stamps that is being compared then I would say equilibrium if we didn't take into account the transfer of ants between the objects being compared and the constant adding of ants into the previous system.

    • @ashishmartin001
      @ashishmartin001 5 лет назад +1

      @@musicgeek6687 equilibrium happens only when 'the numbers of ants in anthill and the other become same' and 'there is no movement of ant from one place to another'. There fore it's simply a steady state😃
