Friday the 13th Part III is a 1982 American slasher film directed by Steve Miner, produced by Frank Mancuso Jr., and starring Dana Kimmell, Paul Kratka, and Richard Brooker. It is the third installment in the Friday the 13th franchise. Set directly after the events of Friday the 13th Part 2, the plot follows a teenage girl (Kimmell) and her friends who go on a trip at a house near Crystal Lake where a wounded Jason Voorhees (Brooker) has taken refuge until reemerging for another killing spree. The film marks the first appearance of Jason's signature hockey mask, which has since become a trademark of both the character and the franchise, as well as an icon in American cinema and the horror genre in general.
Friday the 13th Part III was shot on location at the Valuzet Movie Ranch in Saugus, California. It was the first film in the series not to be shot on the East coast. The house, barn, and lake featured in the film were all custom-built. The house remained on the ranch lot until it burnt down in 2012. Additional photography for the film's grocery store scenes took place at a small market in Green Valley, California.

That Daniel guy looks younger than I thought he'd look. Very nice of him to allow you in there and show you around. Gonna be sweet to see that house rebuilt back in that location. Way to go Daniel!!

@@smilingface4761 I grew up in a small town in Canada and was too young to see it. But being a small town, if you paid the adult admission the lady would let us in, provided it wasnt too horrible. Thats how I got to see it : )
I STILL have this movie on DVD with the 3D glasses! I know DVD'S are extinct now but it's still kind of cool to have. Kids nowadays are like "What the hell are DVD'S?!" Lmfao! Yeah, I don't know anyone that uses Dvd's anymore. They're just as extinct as CD's. The last Dvd I bought was 20 years ago at a Wal-Mart. NOBODY buys DVD'S or CD'S anymore. Everything is streaming now which is much better. But it's always cool to have collectibles. I always hated stacking my CD's and DVD's up in those stupid towers. Vudu is the BEST invention ever created. Thank God for Vudu and Amazon Prime!
That damn barn scared the 💩 out of a lot of us. The nightmares I would have and yet I still rewatched over and over and over 😂 Nice to see one of many of Jason’s hoods.
The clothes on the line that were obscuring Jason's face were the ones he stole. You notice they are gone when the woman shuts the tv off and looks back out the window.

This was awesome. This was the first F13 I saw in theaters.
I like part 3 the best too. When I was a kid the part that scares me the most is when she gets stuck on the bridge and ran out of gas. She finally switches it over to the other tank after Jason Breaks the window. This part always stuck in my head/mind growing up. They don’t make cool movies to remember now days. Thanks for sharing this video and keep them coming!

Thanks for risking your neck from rattlesnakes and mountain lions while making this vid. Braver than me. My grandma got bit by a rattlesnake. She was alright because that generation went through worse than a snakebite. But I give you props. Awesome.
This movie holds a special place in my heart, as I had went to the drive in and seen it at the Richmond Drive-In in Richmond Ky. 1982. Seeing Rick's eye pop out at 10 years old scared the manure out of me man! 👍

This was always my favorite Friday film for sentimental reasons.it was my first horror at the theater at 9 years old.

This is brilliant Scott. I'm sure you know my usual comments by now but seriously amazing video. The weather looks too hot there, you must of been roasting. Great effort. You have the best channel ever.
I think it would be so cool to not only rebuild the house, but to rebuild the whole Friday the 13th 3D set! Maybe patch up the bottom of the lake and refill it, rebuild the dock, the bridge. Get the whole area to exact specifications using stills from the movie and behind the scenes photos. I wonder if they still have the blueprints for the house?

There’s a few people that do these filming location vids. I view for about 30 seconds and they’re so blah it’s all I can take. I really admire that you bring you’re personality into the mix, a quality most people just don’t have . And I’m sure it’s a lot of work going to all these places. Appreciate all u do 4us Scott.
Any updates on rebuilding the set? The owner should really start a Kickstarter campaign because I know there are A LOT of Friday the 13th fans out there who will gladly donate money to get that place back to it’s former glory. What I would love to see is when they do get it built they invite some of the cast and crew from Friday the 13th 3D to the new set. They could have a big celebration!
Absolutely! That would likely draw thousands of fans for such an event, granted if he could get insurance or permit? From what I hear, its dry as a popcorn fart in this part of California, and one errant campfire or cigarette butt, would likely burn the rest of the place down? Only reason why the barn is still standing is because those idiots built a fire in a plugged chimney, on one of the coldest nights out there, which saved the surrounding structures and forest. Could've been way worse!

My best friend and I were obsessed with horror movies when were as little as 8 years old, even wanted to become special effects artists like Rick Baker. I went the music route but he actually did it.

Scott has THE BEST shooting location videos by far. I seriously don't know how he finds a lot of them say do it somewhere over here, or they will say I'm not sure wherenits at but Scott always find these placea. A lot of RUclipsrs won't show the video to match up with the filming location where he is at but he takes time to show the part from the movie to match where he is at. I really appre iate the hard work. 👍
