    will the epoxy gears wear out the other normal plastic gears quicker? (because it is harder material)

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  Год назад +1

      although epoxy is it works for a long time. as these don't drive heavy loads. if we use Araldite STANDARD epoxy, it is harder than the plastic

    Nice repair. I've seen videos of small gears repaired with a similar process, but using superglue and bicarbonate of soda instead of the epoxy, which is reported to be very strong and durable. Have you ever tried that? Regards.

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  Год назад +1

      this epoxy is durable
      if araldite is used then it much stronger than the normal epoxy

    You fix everything except a broken heart, and you probably could do a video on that. Brilliant use of materials! Your repair will probably outlast the other gears. I have a idea. Could you someday do a video on how to check the resonant frequency of an SMPS transformer. I don't need to know how now, but I have a box of old transformers and if I decide to re-use these, how would I check to see what frequency to use that is most efficient. I tried this using a signal generator with square wave and a low voltage output. I fed the secondary with the signal generator, and checked the primary with a neon bulb. I adjusted the frequency and amplitude of the signal generator to get the most light out, but the neon bulb got bright with several different frequencies. I've haven't tried a peak reading volt meter or charging a capacitor and checking the voltage on it yet. Is this the best way? Sorry to be so long. You don't need to answer as I know you are extremely busy. Just an idea for a future video if you need one. Thank you! Best regards and have a great weekend!

      @mikerhodes5158 Год назад +1

      Make a simple oscillator with the transformer on a very low voltage. Use a radio on Long or medium waves near the PSU, you will pick up the harmonics .the difference between them is the Resonant Frequency of the SMPS trans in that circuit. Any caps in circuit will change that too.

      yes you can cast as a complete gear as well. just combine the broken pieces to take sample and you can reproduce it

    Thank you very much sir from Algeria 🇩🇿 . May allah bless you.
    Please sir I have a powered battery handheld Oscilloscope can I directly put the two probes into the utility socket to see the sinusoidal waveform or it may damage my DSO?
    Thanks in advance

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  2 года назад +2

      best regards.
      if you have battery powered oscilloscope, it is very very safe to test unisolated signal
      just ensure the maximum input signal level (mentioned near bnc input connector)
      use 10x probe
      it will safe

    After testing, use this repaired gear as a master and cast a whole complete new gear from it. That new gear will have NO weak spots from the repair.

      agar LED driver properly current control na kar raha ho to LED damage ho jaati hein. agr LED driver theek ho to LED kabhi jaley gi nahi.

    Easier way . Plasticine press part into plasticine . Remove from plasticine , turn half way push back into plasticine lining up where the teeth are broken hence clean new mould . Remove broken part , fill mould with plastic cement . . Simple .

    Can you send me the link from where to buy that particular mechanism or similar with the gears and solenoid arming mechanism please. I want to combine it with a water flow meter to make a volumetric automatic cutoff for my water supply as I often forget to shut off the main water supply for the house because sometimes when watering my plants or when the quick disconnect flies off by itself when left unattended I end up with a huge water bill. Combine that with a water valve electric shut-off servo from Amazon and you can save money.YF-S201 Hall Effect Water Flow Meter / Sensor - HFS(R) 12v Dc Electric Solenoid Valve Water Air Gas, Fuels N/c - 1IN NPT Available (12V DC 1IN NPT)

    La idea en general es muy buena, pero la calidad del video lo destruye
