That’s because most of the channels that do this type of content are just copies of each other and the narration- the most important component- is often painful to listen to. This man’s pace and cadence is perfect. Many a time I have fallen asleep to this channel or his other videos of this nature- he acknowledged the need and the popularity of these type of videos . In his other channel you need to pay more attention if it’s a long form investigation type video. There’s something for everyone here. Many people enjoy the feeling of being in a car at night with rain hitting the roof and windows.
I used to listen to Art Bells Ghost to Ghost (most on RUclips still!) Which if you don't know is just people calling in with their real ghost stories and some are so good.
With all the paranormal events that have occurred in my life my stories could fill a half hour episode of Night Drive alone. I think I'll have to send a few in.
My husband and I were on a historical ship in mobile Alabama, as we ascended each level of the ship there were sectioned off areas with descriptions of what it was and it's function. As we topped the top floor I started feeling sick to my stomach, no reason why I should be sick but I will say nausea was easy for me but usually accompanied by a ligetiment reason. As I stepped out onto the level out a ways in the room I started crying uncontrollably. I couldn't stop feeling sicker by the minute. I then felt gross like I was dirty or sweaty. I told my husband I couldn't stay on this floor anymore and we started heading back down the stairs which he was behind me but as we turned to go down he was in front of me. I then felt a very warm and yucky breath on my neck and turned around but no one else was on the floor. It began to engulf my body and I got sicker by the second until my foot touched the floor of the lower floor and the nausea and dirty sweaty feeling and warm breath stopped immediately. Unsure what it was but I know it wasn't a good spirit like the others I have experienced before.
I have had a lot of ghost experiences mostly when I was younger, but I will share my most recent one. This happened last summer. My elderly dachshund, Pheobee passed in the fall the year before after owning her for 16 years. The month after I picked up my new Chihuahua, Menchi(her passing and getting him are unrelated). When the summer came I was in the living room with Menchi, I stay in my room a lot because of my anxiety issues, and he started going crazy. This little 4 pound puppy was barking like he's never barked before and running around the back of the coffee table. He went under the TV stand and kept following something with his eyes. What was he seeing? I kept watching him looking around then he was looking at my dad's recliner, then the floor then up in the recliner before he started to calm. That's when I thought, he had to see Pheobee, because she always had to try twice to get into dad's chair because of her short legs. We haven't had anything happen like that since.

Well his accent does do it for me for sure- I’m American midwestern sooo I do have a weak spot for a British accent. But!! It’s not just his accent alone- there’s a way he goes about telling stories that I like even more than his accent- hard to put a finger on it but I think we all see it so I don’t have to explain ;) it was great hearing him tell my story and I’m glad it was great for you too :). Yes! My encounter was pet related. I used to work from home and my dog would sleep under my desk most of the day. I would gently scratch his belly and back with my bare feet. In the days following his death, I felt him under my desk. On the 2nd anniversary of his death, my other dog dove under the desk and allowed me to scratch his belly and back with my bare feet. That only happened once. I miss my boy so very much. His ashes are in my office and I take comfort knowing he is safe in my home. When I go, I want to be cremated and have my boys’ ashes spread with mine.
Thanks for another great episode! I haven't had any experiences like this, but when I was younger I've had several bouts of sleep paralysis, and there are many spiritual people I know who have told me that this is in and of itself is paranormal. I believe in God and I believe in ghosts, and as such I believe there is truth to that claim. It's very strange that people across cultures see the same apparitions like the Hat Man or the Night Hag. I often joke that my cat aspires to be a sleep paralysis demon because once a week or so, I wake up and the first thing I see is her sitting on my chest and staring at me. She's actually a very sweet, friendly cat who just doesn't understand the concept of personal space. One of my coworkers who is into all kinds of woo woo stuff told me my cat isn't a demon, but that cats are actually spiritual protectors. It's funny to think that my freaking weirdo cat would want to protect me from anything physical let alone ethereal, but given her personality, she probably would if she could. At least in her spare time between sitting on things I'm trying to use and knocking drinks over.
In the first story, that must have been truly horrifying hearing steps up the stairs and then just waiting and waiting for something to pop in the doorway. Then nothing. Gives me chills. Another great episode.
Well I don’t know why but I have seen a dog I dearly loved on more that one occasion. Sometimes when I’m sad but other times I just see the ghostly pale outline of her running by. Has happened in two places I used to live. Mostly where I live now. Never once has this spooked me. The first time it happened I was surprised as heck. But happy about seeing her. Her name was Gumby.. the way she ran was always so funny kinda like an ice skater swiping their feet off to the sides! This is a great new endeavor for you TL. I will always come back for more stories! Your voice is poetic and soothing to listen too. I’m sure you drive all the younger girls(guys). Crazy! Have a splendid day
I’ve had quite a few experiences. When we first moved into the house where my parents still live, my bed was downstairs. On the first night, I was lying on my bed looking through a magazine. I heard a faint woman’s voice call my name; it came from the other side of my room. I didn’t think anything of it until it happened again. This time, the voice was closer, in the family room near my bedroom. I jumped up in fear, my heart pounding, frozen in place. Then it happened once more, even closer. I jumped out of bed, ran upstairs, and told my mom. I had many experiences in that house, as well as in our previous house, where I witnessed something very unusual that put both my sister’s and my life in danger. I sent my story to Southern Cannibal, but he shrugged it off, and I felt embarrassed for sending it. The truth is, that experience still haunts our minds to this day. Sorry, Apple spell check entered ex-girlfriend’s house for some unknown reason?🤣 So I corrected it. I may send in that story with myself and my sister. It happened in the 80’s, so no cellphones unfortunately to document what we saw. Keep up the great work, love both your channels.

Please write it down and send it in. If you don't mind a writing tip, after you write it, lay it down and come back to it in a day or more and reread it, then edit it. You might remember details you didn't the first time around. Don't give it to anyone else to read. By that, I mean send it in, of course, but don't have anyone read and critique it!

I've had one supernatural encounter and I did not seek it. It was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me. I would recommend you don't seek it (I don't mean this in a preachy way)
Yes, although very brief and years apart. I am now 65 years old. The one that scared me most happened when I was about 8-9 years old. My great-great-grandmother had passed away and our family traveled from North Carolina to Alabama where my mother's family was from. After the funeral we went back to my great grandmother's (we called her Nanny) large house where we always stayed when visiting. I was sleeping in the bed with my great grandma when I woke up and saw on Nanny's side of the bed a white silhouette of a little old lady with a bun leaning over Nanny. I pulled the cover over my head and never looked out until morning. the other occurence happened in the house where I currently live. The basement in my house is a bit creepy. It's partially finished with two doors leading to the back yard. I was sleeping in one of the bedrooms down there for a while. One friend of mine who does feng shui told me there was a portal down there. Another friend who claims to see spirits told me there was something down there that shouldn't be there but wasn't an urgent matter. Anyway, one night I was reading in bed and decided it was time for sleep. I laid down my book and turned off the lamp. While still sitting up I heard the voice of my father, (who is still alive) say my name loud and clear as if he were right beside the bed. I've heard that some spirits, usually the bad ones, will mimic other voices even those of people you know. A couple of other minor things have happened over the years since I bought this house in 2005, but hearing my father's voice is the most vivid. The previous owner went bankrupt and I bought the house on foreclosure, so I think there may be residual depressed energy here. Also there is a very old cemetery right beside my driveway, about 30 feet from the house. There are small headstones, just rectangular rocks really, in there. many are sunken in and look small, like they may be children there. No names are on the stones. I wonder if maybe they are the graves of slaves.
The field stone markers were sometimes used for people who couldn’t afford a headstone. They also marked the graves of enslaved people. The graves seem to be forgotten by the living. If you have any problems with spirits, you can try burning some sage with cedar through your house and then place a line of salt along the threshold of the doors. If the cemetery isn’t being maintained, ask the county to clean it up or a church group. Most spirits are benign and won’t bother you. ❤
@@NanaBren Yes there is such a cemetery on my property right next to the driveway. About 25 graves, many of them small, maybe children. Since I live in NC I suspect they are slaves.
The ending of your story really should have been your leader! No wonder you have spiritual activity, being next to a graveyard, even a small one. I agree with NanaBren above. Do you have a dreamcatcher or similar hanging with bright blue crystals or stones in your window? I'm not certain why, but I think it might help.

I live about 50 mi from where the 3rd story happened, but have never been to that particular area. Unexplained noises are not unheard of here; explosions, high speed low passes by aircraft, screams, all of which go unexplained. On the old man in the woods it does remind me of a time when I was 9 and my school had to go on lockdown because some students saw an old woman trespassing on the playground about 300 yards from the play equipment and the students began a rumor that she was a witch and was trying to steal children. The school called the police who went to talk to her, she was just looking for mushrooms.
Hello my dark friend, I hope you’re well. I enjoyed the video very much. My cat, Spooky, occasionally comes to see me. The other cats avoid his favorite spot. Yesterday, I clearly heard my husband call my name. I found him in the opposite side of the house and asked, nope, wasn’t him. I’ve never experienced anything, but I’ve adamantly wished to for so long. I always tell friends that I don’t think tourist attractions are haunted- though I’m sure people experience things in their homes. Whether or not they are GHOSTS, I dunno. Still, I would love for a scary shadowy freak to scurry at me or something.

I used to live in a rental that was haunted. Both my sister and I experienced seeing a figure watching us in the same room. Voices And horrible feelings of dread. I'd be happy to tell more if anyone was interested. It was a rough patch for my family in loads of ways...beyond the unexplainable things.

A couple more things I can recall, my mom told me once that she was going to bed after putting all us to bed...like turning off lights and stuff and getting our dog who slept in her bed. And as they were walking back up the hallway my Mom clearly heard a whistle from the living room, which was pitch black at this point, she said it sounded like someone was calling our dog...and even weirder she said my dog perked up and looked back to the living room. We all used to hear whispers in the walls, talking and sometimes even singing...although this one is taken with a grain of salt because we only ever heard it when the AC was running; although living in the southern US I've lived most of my life with the AC on and I've never heard anyone singing in our walls...and we all described the same 'songs' and could mimic the tones the others heard. My older sister had to move back in with us for a while when she broke off her engagement, and she had my nephew who was about a year old...and he used to wake up from naps asking 'where it go' or 'where he go'. My sister freaked out, thinking we had a rat or other pests (unfortunately very common in the warm , wet months) so she constantly kept her room where he slept pristine..and never saw any signs of pests but he asked it almost daily for months...it was the same room my younger sister and I both saw a man standing outside the window just staring at us. Those are the big ones I can recall..mostly it was a seeing movement out the corner of your eyes and feeling like you were never alone...like someone was sneaking around behind you.
@@SarahSmith-sp8gg Thank you for telling your story. Oddly, I have experienced many paranormal phenomena and lived in a few haunted houses, but I can’t remember ever hearing a whistle. The dog perking up suggests that it recognized the whistler. I’m sensitive and I think I have a magnet on my head attracting spirits. I have several family members who are around me all the time. They are either guardians or my guides. I was very close with 2 of them. I knew I had family around, but it took a psychic to name them. They are protective of me. 🌹
Spirits use energy to create noises and even move items. Things like creaking floors are usually a residual energy replaying like an old cassette tape when conditions are right.
When my wife and I bought our first house, an older smallish two story house built in the 50's. almost every night we would hear random sounds, like someone running water in the kitchen downstairs, or what would sound like the bathroom cabinet being closed hard. A few months later we would hear what sounded like kids footsteps running down the upstairs hallway and down the stairs. My wife mentioned it to one of the neighbors and she said the neighbor turned a little pale. She told my wife about Max, the son of the previous owners. Max was seven when he was killed on his bicycle in front of the house. When these noises would happen after hearing the neighbors story, my wife would talk to Max using his name and the noises would stop. After that every morning she would tell Max "good morning " and at night "good night Max" We no longer heard any more strange noises. About two years later we had our first son. As he grew older, when he was about five, we would hear him playing in his room and talking like he was having a conversation with someone. When asked about this he said he was talking to the boy who lived in his room. We moved a few years later. My wife really felt bad about moving and hopes Max found some peace.
Short answer: no. Longer answer: folk wisdom in my culture says that baptized folks cannot see the spirits. I can spook myself thinking I might be surrounded by elves and goblins, just unable to see them.
Hey, so I don't know if you are into poetry, and let me stress that much of it is on the darker side in one way or another. But I just wanted to let you know that I have started sharing some of my work on my own channel, from a book I have been working on. I am not at all professional, and not very tech savvy. So the qualityof my videos doesn't even come close to what you do here, or in the tape library. But there has been a lot going on in my life that has made me realize, sharing my work while I can is just something that I need to do. I don't know if you have seen it yet, because I know you probably have tons of emails coming through... I sent one of my poems to you after you did the video on the entity case. It was one called, "That's the spirit!" If you did read it, that will give you an idea of whether or not you might be interested. And if not, that's completely fine... I just wanted to mention it, but know you have such a long email backlog that you may or may not see it there. Also, I hope it's ok that I chose to mention it here, but I was just trying to let you know without it being a big thing. And I can always delete this comment if it is an issue. hey! I'll be honest I haven't read it yet, to give you a bit of context most of the stories I've shared in this episode were sent to me back in February(!!!). That's a big part of why I made this channel, so many awesome people took time to send me their encounters and I just didn't have the space to fit them all in. So now I'm playing catch up a bit! I'm not 100% sure if a poem will fit in, but I really hope I can figure a way to fit it in in the near future. If poetry is something you are passionate about then please do keep sharing your work online!! Don't worry about the technical stuff, don't worry about the views. If it's something you truly enjoying doing then just keep putting it out there and the rest will come. Yes, although very brief and years apart. I am now 65 years old. The one that scared me most happened when I was about 8-9 years old. My great-great-grandmother had passed away and our family traveled from North Carolina to Alabama where my mother's family was from. After the funeral we went back to my great grandmother's (we called her Nanny) large house where we always stayed when visiting. I was sleeping in the bed with my great grandma when I woke up and saw on Nanny's side of the bed a white silhouette of a little old lady with a bun leaning over Nanny. I pulled the cover over my head and never looked out until morning. the other occurence happened in the house where I currently live. The basement in my house is a bit creepy. It's partially finished with two doors leading to the back yard. I was sleeping in one of the bedrooms down there for a while. One friend of mine who does feng shui told me there was a portal down there. Another friend who claims to see spirits told me there was something down there that shouldn't be there but wasn't an urgent matter. Anyway, one night I was reading in bed and decided it was time for sleep. I laid down my book and turned off the lamp. While still sitting up I heard the voice of my father, (who is still alive) say my name loud and clear as if he were right beside the bed. I've heard that some spirits, usually the bad ones, will mimic other voices even those of people you know. A couple of other minor things have happened over the years since I bought this house in 2005, but hearing my father's voice is the most vivid. The previous owner went bankrupt and I bought the house on foreclosure, so I think there may be residual depressed energy here. Also there is a very old cemetery right beside my driveway, about 30 feet from the house. There are small headstones, just rectangular rocks really, in there. many are sunken in and look small, like they may be children there. No names are on the stones. I wonder if maybe they are the graves of slaves.
The field stone markers were sometimes used for people who couldn’t afford a headstone. They also marked the graves of enslaved people. The graves seem to be forgotten by the living. If you have any problems with spirits, you can try burning some sage with cedar through your house and then place a line of salt along the threshold of the doors. If the cemetery isn’t being maintained, ask the county to clean it up or a church group. Most spirits are benign and won’t bother you. ❤
@@NanaBren Yes there is such a cemetery on my property right next to the driveway. About 25 graves, many of them small, maybe children. Since I live in NC I suspect they are slaves.
The ending of your story really should have been your leader! No wonder you have spiritual activity, being next to a graveyard, even a small one. I agree with NanaBren above. Do you have a dreamcatcher or similar hanging with bright blue crystals or stones in your window? I'm not certain why, but I think it might help.

I live about 50 mi from where the 3rd story happened, but have never been to that particular area. Unexplained noises are not unheard of here; explosions, high speed low passes by aircraft, screams, all of which go unexplained. On the old man in the woods it does remind me of a time when I was 9 and my school had to go on lockdown because some students saw an old woman trespassing on the playground about 300 yards from the play equipment and the students began a rumor that she was a witch and was trying to steal children. The school called the police who went to talk to her, she was just looking for mushrooms.

Hello my dark friend, I hope you’re well. I enjoyed the video very much. My cat, Spooky, occasionally comes to see me. The other cats avoid his favorite spot. Yesterday, I clearly heard my husband call my name. I found him in the opposite side of the house and asked, nope, wasn’t him. It’s not scary anymore because it happens often, though the person being mimicked varies. Thank you for adding the rain sounds. Very atmospheric. Take care. ❤Brenda

I’ve never experienced anything, but I’ve adamantly wished to for so long. I always tell friends that I don’t think tourist attractions are haunted- though I’m sure people experience things in their homes. Whether or not they are GHOSTS, I dunno. Still, I would love for a scary shadowy freak to scurry at me or something.

A couple more things I can recall, my mom told me once that she was going to bed after putting all us to bed...like turning off lights and stuff and getting our dog who slept in her bed. And as they were walking back up the hallway my Mom clearly heard a whistle from the living room, which was pitch black at this point, she said it sounded like someone was calling our dog...and even weirder she said my dog perked up and looked back to the living room.
We all used to hear whispers in the walls, talking and sometimes even singing...although this one is taken with a grain of salt because we only ever heard it when the AC was running; although living in the southern US I've lived most of my life with the AC on and I've never heard anyone singing in our walls...and we all described the same 'songs' and could mimic the tones the others heard.
My older sister had to move back in with us for a while when she broke off her engagement, and she had my nephew who was about a year old...and he used to wake up from naps asking 'where it go' or 'where he go'. My sister freaked out, thinking we had a rat or other pests (unfortunately very common in the warm , wet months) so she constantly kept her room where he slept pristine..and never saw any signs of pests but he asked it almost daily for months...it was the same room my younger sister and I both saw a man standing outside the window just staring at us.
Those are the big ones I can recall..mostly it was a seeing movement out the corner of your eyes and feeling like you were never alone...like someone was sneaking around behind you.
@@SarahSmith-sp8gg Thank you for telling your story. Oddly, I have experienced many paranormal phenomena and lived in a few haunted houses, but I can’t remember ever hearing a whistle. The dog perking up suggests that it recognized the whistler. I’m sensitive and I think I have a magnet on my head attracting spirits. I have several family members who are around me all the time. They are either guardians or my guides. I was very close with 2 of them. I knew I had family around, but it took a psychic to name them. They are protective of me. 🌹

Spirits use energy to create noises and even move items. Things like creaking floors are usually a residual energy replaying like an old cassette tape when conditions are right.

When my wife and I bought our first house, an older smallish two story house built in the 50's. almost every night we would hear random sounds, like someone running water in the kitchen downstairs, or what would sound like the bathroom cabinet being closed hard. A few months later we would hear what sounded like kids footsteps running down the upstairs hallway and down the stairs. My wife mentioned it to one of the neighbors and she said the neighbor turned a little pale. She told my wife about Max, the son of the previous owners. Max was seven when he was killed on his bicycle in front of the house. When these noises would happen after hearing the neighbors story, my wife would talk to Max using his name and the noises would stop. After that every morning she would tell Max "good morning " and at night "good night Max" We no longer heard any more strange noises. About two years later we had our first son. As he grew older, when he was about five, we would hear him playing in his room and talking like he was having a conversation with someone. When asked about this he said he was talking to the boy who lived in his room. We moved a few years later. My wife really felt bad about moving and hopes Max found some peace.

Hey, so I don't know if you are into poetry, and let me stress that much of it is on the darker side in one way or another.
But I just wanted to let you know that I have started sharing some of my work on my own channel, from a book I have been working on.
I am not at all professional, and not very tech savvy. So the qualityof my videos doesn't even come close to what you do here, or in the tape library.
But there has been a lot going on in my life that has made me realize, sharing my work while I can is just something that I need to do.
I don't know if you have seen it yet, because I know you probably have tons of emails coming through... I sent one of my poems to you after you did the video on the entity case.
It was one called, "That's the spirit!" If you did read it, that will give you an idea of whether or not you might be interested.
And if not, that's completely fine... I just wanted to mention it, but know you have such a long email backlog that you may or may not see it there.
Also, I hope it's ok that I chose to mention it here, but I was just trying to let you know without it being a big thing.

hey! I'll be honest I haven't read it yet, to give you a bit of context most of the stories I've shared in this episode were sent to me back in February(!!!). That's a big part of why I made this channel, so many awesome people took time to send me their encounters and I just didn't have the space to fit them all in. So now I'm playing catch up a bit!
I'm not 100% sure if a poem will fit in, but I really hope I can figure a way to fit it in in the near future.
If poetry is something you are passionate about then please do keep sharing your work online!! Don't worry about the technical stuff, don't worry about the views. If it's something you truly enjoying doing then just keep putting it out there and the rest will come. It took me about ten years of working on video stuff until I plucked up the courage to actually share my work with other people.
