Glad you’re keeping these vintage/soon to be vintage sport bikes around. They’re the reason I got in to riding motorcycles. I remember a couple of dudes who raced the twin headlight GSX-Rs at the local drag strip back in the mid 90’s. Nice work on the Suzuki! 🤙
Dream garage... Congratulations! The best superbikes ever! At least for me... A Suzuki RGV 250 Gamma is missing there!!!!!! and a Kawazaki ZXR 750!!!!!! bye
Oh yeah! I’d love a RGV 250, just need to rob a bank ;p I seized my buddy’s one on the highway in the late 90’s & still feel bad. If I had to be honest that’s why I bought the GSX-R.
@@counter-steer In my country, Portugal, they cost between €12,000 to €15,000 (euros), second-hand, from 1992 to 1997 and with mileage from 5,000 to 30,000 km... But in Canada with taxes and CO2 fees, or something like that, they can be even more expensive, right? Have fun and enjoy this dream garage! I'm also disassembling and restoring a 1993 red and white GSX-R 750WP.
Thanks man! Yeah I was being a bit pedantic on this one ‘cause I love spending time working on the bikes. Got a little carried away… I would take a new bike apart if there was beer in it for me ;p
You're going to fill that new shed/garage before you know it! Another great video of a classic 90's bike and I see you pour a nice dram too! Make mine neat though... Cheers!
@@counter-steer I've been looking for another bottle of A'bunadh recently but can only find the Alba... More of a proof hound on the bourbon side these days if I'm honest.
Hard to say... one hundred million dollars at Mecum auction ;p I'm hoping the value goes up in the next 10 years but right now they're not as sought after as the air cooled beasts that came before.
@@counter-steer I used to think these race reps were a good investment but I'm not so sure now. I'm feeling they'll become a millstone round our necks because of the ever increasing ethanol in our petrol. Not to mention the ultra low emission laws that are ever increasing. There's only so much the average Schmoe will put up with before wanting said milestone gone. They may even roll out buy back schemes, so you get a great deal on a new motor. Interesting times we're living in for sure. Good is thought of as evil and evil good. Take care from the UK.
Great video. I'm about to start redoing my 92 Gsxr 600/750. Lot more to do on mine than that one though. Motor swap to a 95 750, shock upgrade, carb rebuild, and about a million other things. Where did you find all the parts?
Hi, You've done a great job there. How much do you think you've spent on this restoration? And how much was the initial purchase of the bike? I ask because I up until 2 years ago used to restore race reps from the same era. But I work to a budget. I have a couple of video's of the results on RUclips. I have in hibernation the WR 750 version of your bike. in the silver grey / buble gum pink wheels / blue anodised forks. I'll get it out after I've sold that 1100WP (See video) Take care Best regards from the UK.
Thanks, appreciate it! It’s hard to say exactly… I make a point of not counting my beans on these, it would take all the fun out of it. Was an easy resto though as she arrived in great shape. Prices here in Canada are way out of wack as well. In short, the bike was around $3.5k plus $1k to ship. Roughly $1k in parts from CMSNL (before shipping was free). Screen for $200. Oil, filters & fork seals at the usual rate plus paint & elbow grease.
Just gorgeous. Congratulations on the restoration. I hope we will get to see a test ride on this beast.
Thanks, stay tuned!
Used this video to help me restore mine, exactly the same bike, same colour, even down to the optional Suzuki seat cowl! Thanks.
Awesome, good to know it’s got a shiny twin out there somewhere!
Such a classically handsome bike! Good work on the restoration. Love the camera work and editing, enjoyable to watch.
Thanks Scott, glad you didn’t have to wash out your eyes afterwards!
The 90s bikes are beautiful 💎 Brilliant job
Yeah gotta love those colour schemes! None of the fins & aerodynamic bs either…

Thank you sir! These really do deserve to be saved & looked after.
love it. Have the same from 1994! So cool bikes and still so nice to ride
Yeah man, I love the riding position on these. More “in” the bike than sitting on an ironing board.
you have done a great job on the bike it looks sooooo sweet enjoy
Thanks 👍

Really impressed you avoided the obvious "lubing my shaft" innuendo, considering you'd had a drink.
Great restraint.

Awesome job. Beautiful bike.
Thank you sir!
Awesome. I have it's bigger brother the 1100 that needs fix and restoring. Cool video bud. Cheers
Right on! I was looking for the 11 without luck… well worth restoring!
