Performance Notes:
The last four shows of the 1981-84 King Crimson took place over the two nights of July 10th & 11th 1984 at Le Spectrum in Montreal. The performances on these albums are drawn from the final night, shortly after which King Crimson ceased to exist. Crimson was reborn on April 18th 1994 in Woodstock, New York; but that is another, and ongoing, story.

The rhythms on this track are incredible.
Bruford's fills. Fripp's chromaticism. Belew's daring vocals, obtuse guitar and Tony's impossible grooves. It all comes together for an incredible energy. Best King Crimson in my book.
The slight adjustment fripps plays at 4:08 is NASTYYY...such incredible stuff
Sounds like a mistake, that thing is a bitch to play, with all the string skipping you are bound to mess up sometimes, but I agree it sounds cool.
I would argue that Fripp put it off time, coming in too early, and Bruford had to fix it again ...
Watching them perform this live was absolutely amazing.
I can close my eyes ,See and FEEL it All again like the two nights I saw them.

It is always incredibly to watch them creating this magical music live.
I've never gone to see the same band in concert more than once, well except for my boyfriends band's .
But with KC, I've seen them every time they came near to wherever I lived.
Even going Two nights in a row, Two different cities two different provinces.
They're never disappointing to witness, it's always an enlightening evening to experience.

Key word,Katherine...FEEL. Man,we were pinned to our seats when we saw them at Merriweather Post Pavilion on this tour. One of my friends who went had no clue,he was into Maiden and Priest and the like and was floored by the Crims. Good times,great memories.

Absent Lovers has got to be their best live recording. I would give anything to experience being there that night but I was only born in 2001 xd
