- Managing mental health in the Peace Corps can be quite a task! Living in a different culture, the solitude, working under unclear expectations...all of these things create a stressful environment. Check out what some of the volunteers we talked to do to combat it!
I’m an education volunteer with Peace Corps Guinea who’s interested in using media to tell people’s stories. Part of my job as a volunteer includes addressing Peace Corps’ third goal, which involves educating others about Guineans. I also want to help you learn what life is like as a Peace Corps volunteer and living in a small Guinean village! If you enjoyed the video, definitely subscribe and hit the bell so you get notified about my future videos. And if you want a more day-to-day update on what’s going on, check out my Instagram @colt.bradley where I post every day!

As someone with mental health issues who is considering going into the peace corps, this is a relief to know
This is great, I’m currently applying and I have my own trauma related issues that I’m worried about going in. it’s nice to know that there is a system in place
Great video!
So I've seen a lot of your videos and others about the peace corps and haven't really heard anyone talk about their families or other loved ones at home? I think a video about long distance relationships with the people you love would be really beneficial and as a potential applicant, definitely something i'd like to know more about!
This is a good idea, thanks! I'll just have to think about how best to do it.
Are all these volunteers at the same site?
No, we were just at a training!
Great Vids! what camera do you use?
I used a 5d mark iv for the longest time, but recently got an A7iii
Question: I know a guy with severe anxiety/panic disorder/PTSD and depression. He's basically running. He has the ability to play the person interviewing, but if he's accepted, it will surface. His mental health affects his physical health. He's 50 and thinks this yes going to dive his problems. He's an extreme right wing conservative that there to be liberal. How do we get this name out of the pot without him knowing? He's on medication around the clock. He feels like can 'pull strings' to get him around all this. Need some help.
I have no control over selection and am not the person to help with this. Trust the system.
