    Engines are my favorite part of model railroading! I would very much like a video of them!

    I enjoyed your video, but I must tell you as a former railroad employee that mixed freight are normal, however they don't include coal cars! All coal runs are broken into 2 categories. Unitrains that have priority over other freight. These include cars with colored ends or dots that go to power plants and are called fast freight and then their are regular coal runs. I'm only telling you this so you can choose how you run your railroad, but in reality the way it is actually done. If this helps you good, other wise do what you want, it's your railroad! I always enjoy watching train videos and Model layouts but 1st gives you a tour so you can get an overall view and it's more enjoyabke!

    Great share on the layout. I agree with Cncpgreatlakes get the things in the background. So it’s not a problem afterwards. I leaned that the hard way myself. Enjoy the hobby Happy New Years to you

      @@tracksidemike yeah that's the plan, especially when it comes to the staging yard. Just hasn't been a priority to work on that side of the layout as I work on the New London side of the layout.

    Very cool! I got to work on the FOXY grade crossing rebuild on 45 by 15 east of New London this summer, so seeing a model of the area is exciting. GBW was a good choice

    My IMRL is a similar concept a bridge line linking BNSF in Galesburg with CSX and NS in Lafayette.

      @georgiasunbelt It's a cool little prototype, so it surprises me there's not more models of it.

    Nice! What’s the reach to the back side?

    • @WiscoTrains
      @WiscoTrains  22 дня назад

      @MarkNieting the benchmark is 2 ft wide in most areas. But with the backdrops, most scenes will only be one foot deep.

    hi wisco !!! great layout... i might have missed it but do you have a diesel service facility ?

    • @WiscoTrains
      @WiscoTrains  24 дня назад

      I do not, I don't model anywhere my trains originate at. That all happens in staging.
