I like 6-cocktails-deep Glen.
That was a laugh out loud moment
@@nancyw4039 2 cocktails in, already the funniest shit I ever heard.
I know, it was a hoot. They were both definitely flying a little fast and loose at that point, but not to the point of embarrassingly silly.
When Glen said "It also says to dress with fruits . . ." and then went off screen, I was really hoping he was going to return wearing a Chiquita Banana hat.
I would have died!🤣
I expected at least an apron!
“Entertain the folks, Julie.”
This is the reason I keep coming back to this channel. You two are just so much fun!
Given some of the comments: I am delighted to confirm that Glen and Julie *are* just as genuine and fun in real life as they appear here!
Okay but can you please bring your puppets with you next time?
Buzzed Glen is fun. Especially watching at 1030 AM EST 🙃
Six cocktails in! Cheers!
😮😂
I love that Julie teases you about "it's a method" too.
Julie is going to have to create a song and dance act that is ready to fill-in whenever needed! LOL!
I snorted coffee out my nose, when Glen said he was six cocktails in… I’d be fast asleep
Glen is dangerously close to turning into Greg from How To Drink in this episode.
This is an Old Fashioned variation, I guess. Think my wife would love it. She's a big Maraschino liqueur fan.
Any excuse to add maraschino cherries in a cocktail is valid!
When I saw the word conbler, I thought this would be a recipe that combined a cocktail with dessert 😂. And I will always love the name Writer's Tears
PARTY AT GLENS HOUSE!!
Almost like an Old Fashioned. Instead of bitters, Luxardo is used. Interesting.
Gotta love the Glendalough
I loved Glendalough! It was one of my favorite places when visiting Ireland.
A couple of dashes of bitters will get you an old fashioned
Great cocktail
With “Mara-shee-no”
😊
I like an old fashioned, so I'm gonna like this.
A new dish, Toasted Glen! 😂
sloshed I see. You are on theme.
I like it! A real method bartender
My neighbor used to drink a cocktail that the Bartender called the Edward. His first name. Wild Turkey mixed with Mt Dew soda and some cherry juice. Topped with a cherry .
oh dang...now I have to get the Luxardo! haha Love this one - totally trying it
Glen holding up the bar after that first sip. We have all been there

You should do more videos hammered.
That maraschino bottle has the perfect top for doing a splash. I'd like to see you actually try that, Glen!
This is literally an old fashion minus the dash of bitters
Glen you really should warn Julie when you have already product tested 6 cocktails.
When i hear the word cobbler i think of a peach cobbler. I wonder how this cocktail would taste with a slice of peach instead of orange? Or a peach liqueur instead of maraschino?
My Mr. Boston book says the sugar should be dissolved in 2 oz. of carbonated water. It omits the maraschino and it's not specific about fruits. It just says "fruits in season". Not that there's any right way or wrong way to drink whiskey.
I can find dozens of variations for this cocktail across the books in our collection. The only constant is difference.
I would like to request a recipe for an actual cobbler with this cocktail incorporated. I'm not a drinker, but the elements all seem very tasty.
If this is number six, I'm hoping to see number nine. You know, I bet Glen can dance 🕺💃❤❤✝
You should try that Buster Brown on the next page! Sounds good to me.
Tullemore Dew'n it 👍
“I’m also 6 cocktails in at this point” 😂
"I'm also six cocktails in at this point..." I love it! I know Glen and Jules throw a great party. I guarantee they are cool AF.
Glen's eyes lighting up reminded me of Cincinnati TV late night movie host Bob Shreves. :D
I use those cherries...but they don't cost quite as much as you suggest. Luxardo is a fine Maraschino and I cannot see how it can be completely 'lost' in this cocktail. Maybe thinner slices of orange citrus would balance things?
It was a soupçon of hyperbole to underscore how ridiculously priced most 'cocktail' cherries seem to be.
Glen! Mitakiumi had a great bout against Onosho today! Day 4 of may tournament
Stop hoggin’ it! 😂😂
I have seen advertisements where it is spelled “whiskie”. Mind you, this company opened a rye distillery near Philadelphia in 1916.
I have the expensive cherries but I don't have the Luxardo Maraschino Liquor I wonder if just some juice from the cherry jar would suffice? Probably not!
Well I guess that answers the question of if marischino is related to the cherries. Lol.
Ok friends, that’s enough cocktails for today😂! Take a break.
Glen, do you make these cocktails all at once and put them in the fridge/freezer? Or do you take the time to film each cocktail after drinking the previous one? Haha.
Film / make / taste / film / make / taste - over and over.
@@GlenAndFriendsCooking Gives time for the previous drink to settle, I suppose. ;0)
@@GlenAndFriendsCooking Those who practice the mixological sciences are selfless!
@@GlenAndFriendsCooking Sounds like a good evening, especially with such excellent company.
Can you please drink 6 cocktails everytime before starting recording?
It makes the show much more entertaining! (JK)
You are six cocktails in?!
How do you get your ice so clear?
buy a small cooler that holds 6 cans.. fill it with water about 1/3 to 1/2 full and freeze. Remove cooler when frozen. let thaw enough to remove the block. Cut with a bread knife. put ice back in the freezer.
Glen-dah-low
Maybe - but the actual distillery pronounces it Glenda-Lock: ruclips.net/video/TNdXSqfGgTg/видео.htmlsi=i0YnhUU5sfHpy7fw I gave a hearty throat thrush to the 'lock' part for dramatic and comedic effect, but...

No, Glenda-lock is correct, that's how the place in Wicklow is pronounced by the locals.
Am I wrong in thinking a “cobbler” is called that because it has cobbled ice, meaning small pieces, not a large block of ice?
You're not wrong - That is one of the interpretations of this cocktail. In another book the author speaks about how it can be made either with crushed ice / shaved ice, or cubed ice. I've had cobblers served both ways and genuinely prefer them served like I did here. Kind of like the difference between a Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville blender margarita and a Death and Co. on the rocks margarita.
I could hardly tell Glen was six cocktails in...
Very confused about this one. Isn't it supposed to be a cobbler? Cobblers are served on crushed/pebble ice, that's the whole idea. That's why it's served with straws. That's why you can 'dress' it with fruit - the fruit would rest atop the ice. Seeing this recipe, I'd expect something similar looking to How To Drink's sherry cobbler, as an example.

@@GlenAndFriendsCooking Fair enough, although it seems, to me, a fairly unorthodox way of making a cobbler. I'm almost certain the author never imagined a cobbler looking like this. By cubed ice he probably meant numerous smaller cubes rather than a single large rock. I'm really not trying to be a stickler, I have no problem if you like this version better, but I don't think it can meaningfully be called a cobbler. Nearly all the other cobblers in the book specify shaved or 'fine' ice. The name comes from the 'cobbles' of ice the drink is served on.
You can use your hands as puppets!
I'm glade your not my bartender 😂
