I don't think I ever fully surrendered. I know I have a personal relationship with him but I don't know Jesus intimately, closely and deeply. I can say that He is my friend for sure. I still struggle with so much significant ugliness in my behaviors. My terrible language at times is one that bothers me a lot.
Knowing Jesus intimately, closely and fully, as you put it, is a journey that spans a lifetime. Ways to know Him deeper include prayer, reading and meditating on the scriptures. You are now a member of God's family if you have put your faith in Christ's Redemptive Sacrifice and accepted Him as your Lord and Savior. There is much to learn! When you read the New Testament books, especially the Epistles of Apostle Paul, you will find verses that contain phrases like "in Him", "in whom", "through whom", "by whom", "in Christ" etc, these contain important facts you want to start off studying and meditating much on. Talk to Him like you would to a friend. Act like He is with you all the time (because He is, and in you too) and just talk. He hears. Practice being quiet to hear Him speak . Ask Him to teach you to hear Him. I have been saved for 25years and I still say to Him "Lord, teach me how to walk with you!" So relax, no pressure. It's a relationship. Yes, you have to play your part to develop it but do lean on His Grace and take one day at a time.
Just wrote my 3-minute testimony! Thanks! Now i don’t need to worry about being too verbose when sharing my faith
Praise the Lord brother 🙌
