The best salsa social clip anywhere! Alien is the most fundamentally sound female salsa dancer I have seen, with perfect control of body and energy flow to live out the full extent of the music. Just, WOW!

I would say this is all-around the greatest social dance clip ever... so many different elements touched upon here, and accomplished so gracefully, effortlessly... but rather than list all the incredible technical points these two greats accomplished together, I'll just say, what an AMAZING dance!

Alien is probably the best salsa dancer of this generation. Her ability to pull from all forms of dance puts her above everyone else. This girl can do anything. And to top it off, couldn't be a nicer and humble person. Thanks for posting.
No matter who Oliver dances with my eye is always drawn to him. Yes there are flasher and some more gymnastic leads. But he is class in all aspects of musicality and technique. It really helps that he has great partners to dance with. Any social salsa dancer knows this. I still think he is one of the best world salsa masters we have. Respect , JP Ludlow Salsa UK.

just ridiculous...old Oliver and Alien, redefining what smooth, seamless, fun, expressive, and coy partnerwork looks like. This has got to be, hands down, one of the single best ever taken clips of partner dancing in this genre. Can someone dispute that massive claim? Would love to see.

I love this video so much. I think I've already commented on it, but I am compelled to say it again- BEST all around social dance video clip EVER, hands down!!! Two world champs throwing down and having FUN! Such superb dancing, but most importantly, the CONNECTION they had with each other and the music, and the story that that told us. So inspiring. That is what dance is all about.

She is so great, easy going and down to earth, had the chance to meet her , and dance with her, at Roccapulco in San Francisco for some salsa classes she was teaching along Alex Da Silva. She was born to dance, and is exceptional at teaching it; stresses that when you dance you have to show that you are having a good time and put a smile in your face.

Alien is thE female salsa dancer, I have seen her dancing in the social scene in LA, saw her video teachings, took her classes, saw her performes live, and even took a private dance session with her.
In my oponion there is no equal, can't agree more with LaEspaniola.

Alien Ramirez has to be one of the best female salsa dancers in the whole planet if not the best. Loved how she introduced flamenco moves into salsa. Simply amazing!

Beautifully done. You can see the maturity and technical ability in Alien's dancing. Oliver does a great job not only in showing his ability but in letting Alien shine. It is a joy to watch these two dance.

I am always speechless when i watch this video. Now i want to dance BADLY, their connection is perfect, everything flows flawlessly, no wonder they're both top class dancers worldwide, they sure know how to improvise.
+Marcos Olivero Because they know how to enjoy a dance and don't try to "improvise" very difficult elements in social dance, like I've seen in many salsa clubs. There is a difference between coreography, show and social. Sometimes these ambitions to try very difficult combos when you dance with a partner for the first time is very annoying for both partners.

One of the few professionals out there who actually relishes in the social dance. Thank you Oliver! So refreshing to see after watching about 5 FM videos in a row of painful social dancing from one of the top in the NY scene. What happened to those dancers that get where the dance grew from, that intimate exchange on the social dance floor. What a rare and great thing to be witness to performers that can lead, follow and improvise on a social dance floor and love doing it. Bravo!
+GIOJL Couldn't agree more. It's all there in their connexion and enjoyment of each other. And dancers at any level can do this. Because ultimately, it's more about attitude than technique.

@@sharo8338 Agree. They probably didn't choreograph the whole thing but it's hard to imagine they didn't danced before and had an idea of some of the things they would do during this one. This seems like more of a performance than just two people meeting for first time on the dance floor. I still think it's amazing though!! Wow, what great talent!!

@@rbaddict2947 You can tell they both know the song for sure, which added a great deal to their musicality. But the music was live, with plenty of improvisation from the musicians and not being played exactly as the recording was made. They broke into shines at least 3 or 4 times. She even hi-jacked his lead and led him into cross swivels! Lol...and he took the challenge and dropped a split like it was hot LOL!. There's no way it was choreographed, that was pure spontaneity. I'm sure have danced together socially before (probably at competition afterparties and Congresses) but I doubt they practiced any of that beforehand. Even in a "Jack & Jill" situation, world-class performers can do world-class things. I mean, they danced like 10 minutes straight and Pa' Curubande was being played WAY over tempo. You have to be a world-class dance athlete to do that without running out of gas or falling off tempo. Nothing he was leading was difficult to follow, even the lift, not for a dancer of Alien's caliber. He knows what she's capable of and made sure everyone watching would get to see it. He's freakin' ridiculous and she is pura candela. It IS improvisation at its best.

This is indeed a modern classic. Both dancers have considerable range and that was evident here! It should be noted that these two are first and foremost performers so whether on a large stage or small one they will entertain. This "throw down" view is rare among the grand stars. We have been privileged to have recently covered Alien up close on several occasions, she is heavenly!! Stay tuned, Oliver will be captured by our lens soon!. Be well A.W :-)

@@goldengoatee2237 Sí es improvisado, ambos son profesionales y bailarines reconocidos a nivel mundial, el nivel de improvisación que ellos tienen es superior al de cualquier persona. Llevan más de 10 años bailando de manera profesional y son campeones mundiales.
