Yes we eat banana flower. It should be carefully prepared not the way you did it actually as the maroon and white covering of the bunch is not edible. Only the flowers need to be taken out and the middle strands in each flower should be removed and the remaining flower petals that ultimately become bananas if grown should be eaten. It involves lot of work to prepare dish from this. 🇮🇳
@@kashmirimarez5500 I am not sure. We don’t eat the flower heart petals. It’s not digestable as it is hard fibre. Only the central bud that is tender where the petals are not formed can be eaten. It’s a very small part of the banana heart. Main edible thing is banana flowers with a middle strand and a hard leaflet inside the flower removed. This is a very common veggie used to prepare dishes in west coast and its adjacent hill region (western ghats) from Maharashtra to down Kerala and TN ..
Beacause of your emersion with our fellow filipinos without any reservation i salute you for doing it with sincerity. You are a good person... God will abundantly bless you in your endeavour...
You finally found the right group of people to be with. Enjoy your stay with the indigenous people of the Philippines. Thank you for contacting the Aeta tribe.

Reminds me of seeing them up close as these small group of the swing by my friend cuz’ house to bring foods from the mountains as gift to their godfather mayor of our town, my uncle; that was in Bataan in the early seventies; I did not expect that culture surprise but then in the late 80’s I was working near their village in Botolan Zambales where Pampangga province situates at its border. I have not gone to PANAMIN though…y looking back y through the video that we can see I now appreciate more the Philippines dynamic cultural variety.Thank you for the content y the author as well!

Education in the Philippines is free from primary to college. Also, there's a financial support for the poorest family. But, the problem with Aeta people almost all of them don't want changes. They wanted to be in a mountain and far place because yes they experiencing discrimination somehow.
@DianahDaisy yes remember the slum that you visited. All families there have pension called 4 P's. Public school and university in the Philippines are free. Even the hospitals. But the Aetas chose otherwise, not more than 1% finished college or even high school.

Aeta's are the indigenous people of the Philippines.
So where do you, current bleached-skinned filipinos and filipinas, come from?
@Jazz-fg2dm who knows but modern Philippines people are mostly brown skinned, but from where they came from we don't know.
