You did an excellent job explaining the machine and showcasing the older Maytag, which I also have. I had to get a new timer for mine on eBay. The first timer, did not work. The second timer worked like a charm. You made a good choice there, but I wouldn't give up on your Maytag either. Lots of happy washing with your new speed queen. Yes, the normal Eco cycle is dedicated by the government mandates so not only will it not give you a deep rinse only spray rinses it also will not give you a warm or hot wash. It may start that way, but right away it'll switch to cold however, if you choose any of the options, it will then override those mandates give you a deep rinse and whatever water temperature you picked. I've had all these machines and showcase them on my channel.

These SpeedQueen machines are some of the greatest machines assembled. If anything goes wrong on speed they are best to fix you'll save so much in the long term.
You def made the right choice gettin this machine. Everything you said about the new washers is 100% true lol, I dunno how companies can get away with making junk and charging what they do. Don't know how people like em either lol. Good video comparing though, those old Maytags were great. Especially the old Orbital machines, Love those!
I bought a Speed Queen TC5/DC5 washer and dryer set from Hansbarger Home Solutions Greenville Ohio in November 2022. They replaced a piece of junk Maytag Bravos XL set. The SQ TC5/DC5 set are the closest things to a Maytag set from the late 1980s! They wash and dry exceptionally well! PS: Stay away from the Speed Queen TR/DR series washers and dryers! The washers can’t clean worth a darn and the dryers burn laundry!
I feel ya. i have to take the hose off the machine in order to fill the drum up more then the machine will allow, it's that water saving BS, government at their best
@NoelDoherty-qv8vm Yeah, man, they should've left it alone. Most of these washers take more energy and water to do the job now because modern washers just don't work 80% of the time. Then you gotta junk it and start over every 5-7 years with a new pieces of junk. Legislator's don't wash their own clothes to know the difference.
