This mod looks amazing. My mind is blown that they included over bounce from quake 3. I haven't thought about that trick since the bygone q3a/OSP/ra3 era.. the fact that they were aware and actually implemented it shows just how much enthusiasm they have for this fan service love letter to Quake/arena shooters. I can't wait to get home and try this game for myself. This is what idSoftware should have made years ago
Auto-jump is amazing. I like in QC how it is more efficient to tap the jump for each hop, but it's still nice to have the option there for harder bhops like stairs as you say.
Love this mod, fantastic work. Been a big fan of Doom deathmatch going back to hooking up laptops by searial modem (ie printer cable lol) to play 1v1 Dead Simple, through Quake with online, Doom MP sourceports like Skulltag (which was great), Quake Live and the big Unreal Tournaments (99, 2004, and UT3), and I'm actually a big fan of Quake Champions itself. This is the best multiplayer sourceport for Doom since Skulltag.
I've been playing this mod since it came out and seeing how it evolved makes me so happy. Especially when they recently added stuff inspired by Unreal Tournament, creating the greatest love letter to the arena shooter sub-genre that no other modern arena shooter managed to achieve in my opinion Also bones when
Doom 2 was really the first big deathmatch game, even within Doom 1 desthmatch didn't really take off until the 1.666 patch which was in 1994. Doom itself was released st the very END of 93 (December 10th), and it received many patches over the next year right up until Doom 2's release.
We have some quake blade skins and two chainsaws. But there is no exact saw-blade from Hal-Life. ...Though the Painkiller has its own shooting blade if you chose him as character (v.3.0)
Hello, please help! I can disable monsters in multiplayer games (you can't uncheck monsters in PvE options), and in doomseek checking the no monsters option doesn't do anything. I would be grateful. Best r
Quake champions is a terrible game it appeals to nobody cant decide what it wants to be by the developers own admission and doesent use idtech this mod is what it couldve been
@jace_albers Quake champions is excellent, it's very fast and accurate and tremendous fun, while still having enough depth to be respected by the pros and high skill 1v1 scene. I literally play every day. I love QCDE, but you don't have to shit on QC to enjoy it. This mod is great but it isn't actually better in the core gameplay, the variety of subtle physics movement in QC just can't be replicated in a Doom-style 2.5D engine, sorry.
@@jace_albersif anything quake champions is deep rooted into quake 3’s character line up where they had their own bio and what they were. Evolution made it to where the idea could be expanded on even though it could’ve been back then. Don’t think it forgot what it was but definitely didn’t do what it needed to do to be more fleshed out . Relying on just devs and not a community will kill your game in the end. Which is what every modern game is now.
because it means better performance and netcode since this is mostly multiplayer, and maintaining 2 versions is not viable with the back and forth specially how gzdoom updates constantly breaks mods and you can still play on android, is not like 2.7 was removed and there's still the chance delta can allow qzan to be merged in or something alike in the near future but i'm not sure about that being the case yet
This isn’t just one of the best mods of all time. It’s one of the best games of all time. It deserves every bit of hype and praise it gets.

I've never heard about this mod before, but it looks really impressive! I think I will try it.

Its an amazing mod/game. I remember when it was just a weapon gameplay mod pack
I've seen it many years ago, it evolved!
The amazing koto! The legend !! 😊
Great review! This amazing game needs more exposure. Oh, Doom was end of 1993. Your vid description says 1994.
6:25 Yep. UT guy can't.

This looks phenomenal
These people need to work in AAA games
Why isn't this popular online? No one is playing.
I love QC but it felt like the game was abandoned. This mod looks so sick! I feel like it's Quake champions in a different timeline
Downloading right now
do we have saw blade ?

this doom mod is way more fast and dynamic than original qc. even though qc is nice game, it feels just too slow in comparison.

Can it be run on linux?
yes, it can. I run it on Linux as well
@KOTOisback it's weird but i couldn't get it to run beyond 60 fps with severe drops. A shame :(
Plz post the link for the mod in the videodiscription or in a Comment
thx
cheers´mate
They Had to port it to QZ. I am so pi..ed they did that. Now there are no ways of playing the mod on android anymore
because it means better performance and netcode since this is mostly multiplayer, and maintaining 2 versions is not viable with the back and forth specially how gzdoom updates constantly breaks mods

Looked really good up until you started talking about a CAT character and more fkin abilities..
there is at least 2 characters (sarge and brock) who doesn't have any active abilities if you wanna play like how it was before QC.
