- Megalopolis is the new film by Francis Ford Coppola. The movie is insane and absolutely crazy, but is it any good?

Very allegorical
The sacred and the propane
Certain events have expired
Francis Ford Coppola had nine pictures under his subspecies
It's hard to forget, I don't forget.
@@phil-Leotardo.171 We appreciate your time is less than limited. Say 'bye bye Grandpa'.
You know who loved Megalopolis? Was Joey Peeps, may he rest in peace.
“Peeps”?! It’s a f%?$in’ nickname.
yeah its sad when they go like that
Peeps? The family name is Megalopolorelli
@@cletusjones9411 Jason's dyslectic
Should have made “Cleaver” instead
Cleaver
Too bad john milius wasn't around to give a good monolog. It's like clever and gladiator....real come from behind kinda movie.
Just a kid coppola 85...me I'm an old man.
Briefly, there's good and there's not good. This is not good.
A hit is a hit
My estimation of... ah forget it
Wow. It’s such a good thing you noticed all of that. Both the sacred and the propane.
Propane 😂 Nice
If this movie wasn’t made by Francis ford copella this movie would be a 0 percent on rotten tomatoes lol. I don’t blame any of the actors they did the best they could do with the disaster that was in front of them .
“Sometimes a movie just sucks.” *Jack (1996)*
- David Rollison, The Spool
Oh so it's not the movie that we might see, it's the drama of the production?
Honestly a documentary of the behind the scenes should be way better than the movie itself
Adam Driver is miscast. He only has 10 years experience as an a-list actor and most of that was wasted on bad Star Wars films. He could grow into an actor that could do this, but Megalopolis was just throwing him into the deep end of the pool.
I believe Coppola did the best he could at his age. I happy that he was able to make this movie after it's been on his mind for decades.
Aids!
“NOBODYS GOT AIDS! AND I DONT WANNA HEAR THAT WORD AGAIN!”
Yes.
Is it just me, or does this seem like a remake of the silent film, "metropolis"? ❤
The ‘prem - ice’ ??? Are you AI generated ???
Ai wouldn’t make that mistake so we know he’s real
"-thats the prem ice" lol
I was yelling out loud who pronounce it like that?
Adam Driver's the only cast member who can smoke a cigarette in the rain.
I once saw something about him being "hot". lol
Frankly, I'm ashamed and embarrassed you had to mention this.
Hey
Philly, why don't you go have a drink?
It's the wine, it makes you emotional.
This guy…
Great review of this new Francis Ford Coppola movie
Two words: FEVER DREAM
This probably proves that he can’t write an original screenplay on his own. Maybe he’s not as good as we thought he was.
This could have definitely been Moltisanti/Lupertazzi picture.
This movie is a vanity project. Coppola did this one time prior in a film called Tetro. It too was a huge turd. Robert Evans is dead. Coppola has no one of equal magnitude to set him straight. He should now devote himself to his grapes and wineries. 🍇🍷
Evans was a dick. May he rot in peace…🖕
Adam Driver can’t act.
He just couldn’t fkn sell it
It’s a poor retelling of the Catilinarian Conspiracy, that roots for the villain of the story…
I simply think back to Godfather 3 and his awful "Redux" version of Apocalypse Now and resolve never to see another FFC movie
Redux was great. Seethe
Redux had a lot of great moments in it. We actually see Martin Sheen‘s character smile, the whole French colony people left over. I can’t believe in almost entirely different movie was gleaned from all that footage.
This review actually makes me want to watch it
Unfortunately, hard pass
My Estimation of Francis Ford Coppola as a director just f-ck-n plummeted
What do you expect from an 85 year old stoner?
The skip's losin' it
At least it got done.
This film does not look remotely interesting to me. I'll just re-watch 'The Conversation'.
I'll rewatch timecop.
(Prem miss)
Coppola should have done a movie about P.Diddy
Great review, very funny. I’d be curious to hear your thoughts on Twin Peaks seas. 1, 2, Fire walk with me, season 3
If this wasn't made by Coppola, I think it would have like 5%. Even though it's getting dunked on, it seems some are going soft on this film.
Very good observation. The sacred and the propane.
i liked it, the visuals were so satisfying as an ADHD person.
Unhinged? I think you just didnt get it
Yeah 5.3/10 on Imdb. No thanks
Movie directors don't age like fine wine.
It's called a fall off 😂😂😂
The movie is terrible
I liked it.
haram
*premisse
Sounds like some self righteousness, self indulgent rich guy pretending to be Fellini.
Wasn’t that Fellini to
Begin with, deeply pretentious?
Is Jennifer Beale's in it? I won't bother if not
Some of deez lesbians. Jennifer Beales… it’s not bad
Ah yes, the sacred and the propane
There is a difference between critique and whining, but your commentary makes it appear likewise.
So wait. This is a modern-day take on Julius Caesar by a past-his-prime director/writer with delusions of grandeur, whose vision is through the lens of one remembering their acidic (LSD) youth. And I thought it was a modern-day version of Fritz Lang's Metropolis. So it's expressionism gone amok?
It looks like a "poor man's" Romeo & Juliet, without the flashy cars, flashier clothing, post-grunge soundtrack, and John Leguizamo spouting the King's English with a Spanish Harlem lisp.
Figures. Why not re-boot Stallone's 'Night Hawks" or Billy De William's "HIT!!!"? Either one would be more relevant and entertaining than this legend's last hurrah.
Side note: Why hasn't Leguizamo aged in forty-plus years? From the Miami Vice series to today, he looks the same. It's not normal. It ain't fair!
