Love 'em both. Whichever you choose, you'll have a great ATV in your garage. Base part or your decision on which dealer will offer the best service. A solid relationship with your dealer could make or break the way you feel about your ride.
It's funny how people hate it on polaris's for so long with their CVT systems and everything else but now every manufacturer in the market has done nothing but copy them for the last 10 to 15 years
In you "cons" at the end you have "sideways engine robs power" listed. I thought that since the crank was now facing the same direction as the driveshaft that the sideways engine actually allowed for better efficiency than the old sportsman. Is this incorrect?
Dirt Trax does alot of tests on utility atvs yet i never see reviews when they actually pull something with the bike. I would like to see how the bike handles when you are pulling a heavy load, how the brakes handle it and how much the bike will pull. Just my opinion .
@dirttraxtv between the 850xp and the renegade 800xxc which one do you like better and worse for what reasons. For fast trail riding in central texas with rock crawling and the occasional mud which would you prefer and why?
luke you are better than your bro at talking about atvs plus polaris is the best i have a 2004 polaris sportsman 500 its a beast plus i have a snow plow
i have 350 miles on my 2011 850xp and it has oil geting in the air intake and i guss this has happened to alot of people with them between the 2009 and 2011 850xp i love mine but i was wondering if that happend to u guys when u had it and u where riding it
I have a 2011 polaris sportsman 800 and i am very disappinted wiht it after 1 mounts it made lots of problems like the trottle was not responding because of the cheap cables which get dameged by the shake of the quads own plastics also after my first mudding front differention get dameged sounds very bad when i ride it ! I love polaris but how can this happen ...
When you do wheelies, is it in low or High? I can get it up in low but if i go in high i have to "stand" on the Seat... So can someone teach me how u do it? :p
that awkward moment the guy from dirt trax pauses this video at 3:10 and notices the plastic part of the price tag still attached to his jersey by his neck, lol
I have the 1000 xt outlander I think there both awesome atvs but my bro has the 850xp both are fast but the outlander is better in speed and handling really tight in turns off road abilities are pretty similar to me but I don't think u can go wrong in either the xt outlander or 850xp
to bad any polaris will break if you ride them even relatively close to hard, buy a honda or a yamaha and you will be much more happy with you bike when your not bringing it in to change something that broke every other week
I love my 850XP. Best purchase I ever made.
still have my 09 850, went from mostly toy to mostly farm use. solid machine
Lol same got this and a newer 800 efi ranger xp we mostly just use the sportsman to get to trucks and tractors 😂 just laid it on the 7.3 bed

Polaris is the best 4x4
Its actually called Variable Assist, which delivers more assistance at lower speeds and less at higher speeds.
i just got this quad. i love it. ill post videos soon!
