The alien car isn't a cult car STEAD it's a car you get for finding 50 alien spacecraft parts in the camping from a S&F side mission while playing as Franklin
The final heist to get Jerome to finish was actually quite wholesome

For this being my first ever GTA event this sucked 😂
I think how far behind you are is based on the time since they passed the last checkpoint you passed.
As such if the person in first place caught up and passed the person in second place after they had both passed that checkpoint the first place person would have passed it more recently resulting in you trailing them by less time then you are trailing the second place person.
