Moneyball was released September 29 2011. On that exact date one year later Brandon Moss hit a walk off HR which set up a 3 game series for the AL West. Concidence? Maybe Maybe not
THIS is how you call an epic game of baseball. Don Orsillo is one of my favourite play-by-play callers, and even though Buck Martinez usually irritates the hell out of me, he complemented Don well here. Joe Buck, take notes (or better yet, take the L and remove yourself from calling baseball games).
Justin Verlander shut the A's down the next day. And that was in Oakland - for some reason the divisional series switched to a 2-3 format that year. And went back to a 2-2-1 format the next year.
They did that because it was the first year with the wild card game, and so they made the format like that in order to fit the postseason schedule that they had made before they added the wild card game to it.

@@earleynation4460 boy nobody likes yankee fans except yankee fans. you probably don't even live in new york and the fact you guys couldnt win a championship this decade is just a disgrace while the a's played good hard baseball and didn't sign half of the biggest stars so shut the fuck up you fucking moron youre probably still in high school.
Cabrera should have suffered a career threatening injury for the way he blocked that 3rd base bag. Drew spared him by rewarding bad sportsmanship with good sportsmanship and not going in spikes first.
I say 12-14 until we traded cespedes mid season and the team lost all momentum after that. I will maintain until the day I die we would have won the chip in 14 if we had just stayed the course . We were beating teams by about 4 runs a game and on over to set records before that trade

Disgusting Gravy ooooohhhhh that’s a good one
Nats vs cards 2012 game 4 nlds
This was one of my favorite A’s games. Literally the 9th inning was one of the best memories I’ve had of watching A’s games
The “game 5 is tomorrow” part is stuck in my head
Gotta love Don Orsillo
What a fantastic call of that game-winning hit. Chills.
Only we lost the next game 😭😭
Ray Fosse on the radio call was hilarious.
AAUUUUGH!
As a Rockies fan it was awesome to see Seth Smith play a big part in this game.
OMG thank you soooo much! Best memory I have as an A’s fan. I was there as well. The stadium was rocking!
I was at this game, and it was incredible.
me too, shit was insane
Now they are leaving 😢
Thanks EXE for doing a video for my generation. I love all generations of Baseball. That was awesome and electrifying🥎🤙
This game was an absolute gem
I haven’t forgotten it. It’s my favorite A’s moment since I became a fan.
1986 NLCS Game 6 Mets and Astros
2006 NLCS Game 7 Mets and Cardinals
2015 NLDS Game 5 Mets and Dodgers
You’re a little bias lol.
You forgot one
1999 NLCS Game 5 Mets and Braves
You forgot another:
2015 WS Game 5 Mets and Royals
Lol a playoff game in between NYC and LA is never forgotten in any sport
Bias
Just got saw this after the last game at the colosseum. Oakland fans deserve better
I miss coco
Can you do one of these for game 163 between the Rockies and padres in 2007?
Damn 2012 and the 2013 were something else I remember going to all the ALDS games and ESPECIALLY this game....oh I wish I could go back
My all-time favorite A's memory right here.
It rained between innings, something in the air that night. Magical
bro thank you so much for uploading this. easily the best baseball game i ever have and probably will ever go to
No Vegas crowd will ever match the energy of that night!!
now this is the real moneyball 2
Great video dude keep it up

I remember watching this game on TV. I'm a die-hard A's fan and I for sure thought our season was over right then. Boy was I wrong
Damn listen to that crowd man lol so hyped
I LOVE this new series
My fav A's game of all time and I dont see how anything tops this
Thanks for the upload. I’m not an A’s fan but I hope they do well. I was at this game and it was insane. Great crowd.
LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!!
You making me miss baseball even more
Probably the best game I was ever at. This or game 2 in 2013 with Vogt's walkoff.
Was at 2013 as well ..... amazing
I cried tears of joy when I watched this when I was 13
That noise was probably heard across the bay😮💨
What a rally! Donaldson is scary!
Tigers-A’s were so good. You had the 1-0 game with Vogt’s walkoff. And you had Max Scherzer with the bases loaded no outs, and the tying run on 3rd.
This was Max Scherzer before he became MAX SCHERZER.
AJ Griffin fell of the map. Haven’t heard of him in a LOOONG time.
Oakland, from the bottom of my heart. I’m so sorry
These videos are greeaaaattt
As a tiger fan, this was a GREAT game
I'm an A's fan and fucking Verlander killed us fricking 2 years in a row. Straight crazy.
Only a wall could stop Oakland after this... his name is Justin Verlander
Alright. You showed this. Now you have to show the one from the ‘06 ALCS with Magglio Ordoñez’s walkoff
Naw. Not forgotten
Please please please do game 163 between the Rockies and Padres in 2007. That one had everything.
THIS is how you call an epic game of baseball. Don Orsillo is one of my favourite play-by-play callers, and even though Buck Martinez usually irritates the hell out of me, he complemented Don well here.

Great video
I was at that game. Best day of my life. Go A's
We got another good team this year buddy let’s try and get it done!!! 🙃

The Fosse call is the only way to listen to the walk off
Holy shit this was hype!
Profile pic🔥
i miss these days :(
i miss cespedes :((
i still hate both verlander and scherzer :(((
Game Five is TOMORROW
The divisional series was different in that time
Please do game 1 of the alcs 2012 between Tigers and Yankees.
Another forgotten classic was
2011 Alds Game 5: Tigers at Yankees.
that makes it the most unclassic thing ever, you are just fucking biased.

nothing about that series was classic lol

Those tigers used to be so scary, what happened?
RIP Oakland As
The 1st time the rangers went to the ws in 2010 plz
I was at the game when coco robbed prince fielder it was so electric I was 9 game was great
What about game 5?
Nolan Thibeault a 6-0 complete game shutout? Great pitching performance. But not a classic!
This should have been Game 5 :(
Blue Eye Brown Eye
2011 game 163 rays yanks
Didn't Verlander shut them down in G5? Lol. Not even a Tigers fan.
How about 2014, Game 2 NLDS between Giants and Nationals? 2016 world series game 1?
DET 3 OAK 4
2013 game 4 was better in my opinion
I thought 2013 game 4 was better
I was there, and yes. It is definitely a forgotten classic. That crowd in Comerica was electrifying.
@@derikr3744 best tiger game that I can remember watching
Or 2014 game 2
@@fryncyaryorvjink2140 nah. I personally thought game 1 in that series was better than 2
可惜奧克蘭在第五戰還是輸了
Too bad they lost
NLCS game 5 2014 Giants vs Cards
My Yankees were straight TRASH and just boring af to watch. These teams were really fun even though I HATE the Tigers.
And then game 5💪💪💪💪💪💪😅😅😅😅😅😅
