Klatt knocks it out of the park yet again. Learning to deal with adversity is one of the single biggest lessons young people need to learn today. I have seen this over and over as an educator and I can tell you that most young people don't want to ever meet adversity let alone deal with it. Great job Joel as always.
I agree I would just say that for some kids adversity starts way before the classroom so some kids don’t really wanna change being seen at a smaller school but love and agree with everything you said
It's a bette replacement to gamble due to the lopsided matches. Since I was a kid I would watch college football like NFL was the Valhalla of the college players. Different ways to get into it besides school spirit.
@@romain8390 I think interest in college football will get enormously worse! One thing that has made college football so important and interesting for many people is the traditional and regional rivalries! That is all being destroyed before our eyes because of all the realignment and jockeying for TV money. NIL is just the precursor to players eventually getting paid! It will simply be another pro-league that is the farm system for the NFL. Once college football gets out from under the NCAA supervision, going to college as a requirement will become superfluous, and, so will playing in the college stadiums and retaining the college names! The players can then unionize and demand some of the TV money! Money is ruining college football, and we will wonder what happened when people quit caring!
Great point Joel!! We've seen it time and time again, marginal teams being propped up because of their pre/early season rankings. It's like they'd be admitting they were wrong initially if they didn't keep these teams ranked.
Ive seen people clowning USC over their close win against Oregon State, but people have to remember if this was any of the USC teams of the past 10 years USC does not win that game 1 time out of 10. Even if they arent good enough to win a National Title this year they are getting really good really fast. This is only the beginning too
@@jakestakes9075 perfect example why we need more people to be forward thinkers. The problem with USC before this year was they would lose too many games to where they couldn’t recruit anymore in their own state with all these 4/5 star recruits leaving the state to go to SEC schools. If USC wins the PAC-12 this year and makes it to the playoffs then the domino effect will begin next year in the recruiting process especially with NIL deals USC can attract their state’s high level recruits like they used to on offense and defense. High level defense recruits don’t in mass go to teams like Iowa where they play elite defense but have pop Warner offense. They go to teams like Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, and etc. where they know the offense should match the defense
As a michigan fan I love how we don't get to have a bad game. Alabama can have an off week Georgia can have a bad week ohio state you name it. It's always oh they have a bad game but thier still good. Michigan struggled with a ok team in Maryland. They were used to having there way with teams and then get to this game and it was a wake up call but I'm not scared at all I think this will make them stronger.
can't listen to the "experts". People were saying their offense couldn't throw etc after only beating Rutgers by 7 in the 4th game last year. Judging game by game is just to get viewers, judge the season.
Idk if someone monitors these comments from Fox but you NEED to have Joel and Colin do a college football podcast together once a week. This is the best segment every week and it's too short. PRODUCERS- GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT
I’m from Iowa city and Colin even tweeted back to a close friend of mine years ago. I gotta say Colin is awesome for always talking about us. Even if it’s not what we agree with.✌️ what up Colin!
The “Joel is Colins dad” running bit, is my favorite on the internet i think. The new wrinkles in the comments every week? All the jokes? Love it. Also, Joel makes more time for his son than most dads. Travelling, always trying to be in person. Respectable.
This is a weird year. 100% agree that the top 3 are in their own tier and there's like 10 teams that could fill that 4th spot. I say this as a Michigan fan too. Now it's a long season and teams inevitably mature and find an identity. So it will be interesting to see what teams kind of rise to the top to be able to compete with the likes of Georgia, Bama, and OSU.
USC has some players that can keep them in those games against your top 3 ,QB,4RB ,that Freshman hasn’t even got loose yet, that tall LB is something new his wing span alone gives QBs problems in the red zone..All the Wr I can go on
“In life and on the football field, you’ve gotta go through hard things because the trials and tribulations of this life is what produces perseverance.” Biblical 🔥
This clown blows with the wind. Last week Oklahoma was the 2nd best team in the nation according to Cowherd. Now he’s talking down to them? Dude was wrong. Just own it.
I see Klatt didn’t notice Pitt was down to a 3rd string QB this year and took Tennessee to over time with a back up on one leg. Had them smoked before Slovis got hurt
2nd string qb bruh which Tenn put them down to that Tenn should’ve ran away with the game too many dropped balls and TDs but yes pitt and kansas should be ranked period
@@litedawg but they play Penn state on the Road never easy to win there. Also they play Michigan St on the road but they look insanely overrated to start the year
My worry with CJ going to the NFL is that he is a rythem qb. When he is hot, he is the best in the country, but interupting his rythem can destroy his proformance. And if he goes high in the draft, he will be on a bad team. Honestly, for his sake, I hope he drops
When he’s nervous about getting hit, his footwork suffers. If he calms down he’s the most accurate in the country. IDK if he translates to the next level. It’s such a different game.
I just don't get why 90% of the top players all want to go 3 programs. A bunch of front runners. I can understand not wanting to play in Starksville and get my head beat in for 4 years to win 7 games and go to the peach bowl (maybe), but why does everyone wants to go to AL/GA/OSU? Front runners.

Klatt is hands down the best interview on this show. Thankful for someone who is willing to come at Colin with facts and sarcasm. KLATTS THE GOAT
Totally. The guy is amazing!
Sarcastic facts
Legit just said this. He’s great
Idk sean payton is quickly becoming the top. Obviously it wont last though as he'll be coaching the cowboys next year
Him and Sean Payton !

Jalen Hurts has entered the chat
Favourite 15 mins of the week - these two should have an hour podcast weekly during the season
colin's parent's are divorced but klatt still takes the time out of his day to meet his son weekly. what a good father figure.
😂😂😂
Lmao
yawn. go look at klatt's videos. i'm sure you have, so that's why you're here.
Ah yes, another week of me not caring about college football at all but these guys making this show absolutely electric. What a treat.

I completely agree, I don’t think I’ve sat down and watch a full college football game in five years, but I watch these to debate every single week

As an Iowan I watch this segment STRICTLY because I love listening to them banter about it
LET'S GO HAWKS!! we got the spread -11 lol Good luck Mich
The Joel Klatt and Sean Payton segments are absolute 🔥 🔥🔥
Joel Klatt segments have been the best things on this show for years
Klatt, Payton, Schlereth, Wright, these are by far the best segments

It's Father's Day in September! 😍😍
Love Klatt’s commentary on the preseason AP Poll. Best thing the CFP committee ever did is wait until mid season before releasing their rankings.
Colin saying "They're tougher.... To watch" 😂😂😂
These two have more chemistry than any other 2 people in sports media period. The best 15 minutes every week. Wish they had a full time show
20 minutes of Klatt gets a like from me
Please never stop this segment.
Nice to see Colin’s dad step in every week for support.
