Leila had a life altering diagnosis of breast cancer a year and a half ago, and after that both her and Trevor decided it was time for a change. They were tired of the rat race of Southern California, working crazy hours, and not seeing their kids or grandkids. They believed in their heart that tiny living was the way to change all that. Although they didn't exactly understand what they were getting themselves into, after they purchased a vandalized toy hauler their dream began! What a change it has been, you can almost feel the happiness ooze out of this tour. All of the research and planning that they did for the RV toy hauler renovation paid off because it is gorgeous. The penny tile with flex grout throughout their home is gorgeous and really ties all the spaces together. Trevor's office is a must see! The design and aesthetic is amazing, and has Trevor so eloquently stated "Experiences are invaluable, stuff breaks but experiences last forever". We couldn't agree more, thanks for the tour!

I completely agree!! My parents did this for 3 years before my father’s health deteriorated & they loved it. My son graduates high school next year & I’m getting my RV so I can travel to watch him play college baseball. I’ve got a year to buy & renovate!!

Beautiful words miss Tammy. They weren't even to me but I was touched. Life is a beautiful blessing alot take for granted. I just got separated. We had been together over ten years. I feel I wasted 2020 feeling sorry for myself. I bet you and promised myself I make the most of 2021every single day. I'm going to make alot of home changes and self changes. The master bedroom is stunning! I love it! Man, you ought to be a radio announcer or t.v announcer...your voice is wonderful...my oldest had cancer and he beat it. You too can beat the cancer you have! Sending much love and support.
i guess i don't get why they wouldn't make the office smaller so the daughter has actual space, but i hope she does like the loft.

@@MistressKuroko it felt super weird their master bedroom & office were huge, and yet they make the almost 30-year-old live in a loft with no closet? like i said i do hope she is happy, but it didn't feel great to hear "if our daughter can do it, anybody can" about organizing one cabinet like she's less than. as special needs myself, it rubbed me all the wrong way. but! i could be reading into it too much.
She obviously loves it that way because they said she'd never come down if they didn't make her. I don't know what her disability is but she could have Asperger, a lot of people with it love closed, tight spaces, where they can be alone.
Some people with special needs and their families don't like the term disabled, I apologize if my use was offensive to you. I have Muscular Dystrophy, it doesn't bother me, but I can understand how it could others.

At first I thought they don’t have room for another bedroom but when I saw the huge office I got upset. Wish I didn’t watch this video, their daughter cant even sit up and if she is always in there cramped it’s not healthy for her.
Don’t know why but the Mister’s voice is so soothing to listen to! They have a really nice RV house : “)

This family is truly inspirational, just a little side note, people ask why their daughter doesn't have a bigger space, with a child that has special needs, they have certain ways about them, most like to be surrounded in a space they aren't overwhelmed by, I know my nephew and family friends child loves being in small spaces. I hope this family continue their wonderful journey and be blessed with so much more in their lives. Kudos to them for taking the risk and to this woman who is fierce and wonderful for fighting this awful disease and getting out there to spend more time enjoying rather then staying in one place being unhappy🙏🏽❤️

Just looking at your thumbnail... I love your color palette. The yellow of the wood, matches the baskets, the flooring, counter tops and even the clock. The black handles ties in the black of the curtain, refrigerator and the screen door. 👍. ... I also like the doors on the "other" side of cabinet by the sink. That "L" can be difficult to access without those doors on the other side. Good job. 💜🌞🌵😷

This is such a HUGE moment right now because after watching this video and being told last year the lump I found in my breast was cancer , I've literally been frozen with my mind going in a million different directions but in all actuality I'm like a hampster on a wheel. Listening to these people share their story's I've decided to just go for it! I'm telling my husband this evening that we are going to start living our life with new adventures to share and places to discover together. I feel like this is absolutely the right for us at this point and time and I'm actually excited for the first time in months with a joyous feeling in my heart. I hope to be able to serve God in whatever capacity He might need from me and I hope I can share some of the amazing miracles He has performed for a completely undeserving person like me. I hope I can still see some of our beautiful world before that freedom is taken away from us. Scary times we are living in. I can only cling to the promises that Jesus has given us and try to stay as unafraid and positive as I can. God bless each and every one of you reading this!

Wife is beautiful,the daughter looked just like her. Cute dogs living a very lucky dog life. The husband is so proud and she acted the same of their home. I love to see this in a family. Just absolutely WOW! What a beautiful home they have created. I lived in a 42ft. sailboat for two year in the Keys, and I can say, having your home "on your back" is truly a wonderful way to live. You get to see so many different places, and yet, you're home. This RV reminds of a custom boat build, and really it is, just on land. What an inspirational couple. They have built a life they love.

I just bought a smaller toy hauler (no slides this time) for my tiny home. This is my 3rd downsize, and this time I'm doing the reno while living in it. I too ripped out those couches and put in real furniture. It doesn't get any better than this! Good luck to you all, and thank you for being such an inspiration!

Welp this made me for sure cry. My heart is pulled this direction more and more. We rent in a home AZ for 2,200 a month can’t afford a home here moved from CA. Sold our home paid off debt and now we are paying the piper for a home that’s not even ours. Praying that if this is Gods direction for us he will reveal it more in plain sight. This was amazing!!! What a lovely couple. My husband has early onset dementia so our plans have changed & this is exactly what we want to do. The scariest part for me is selling our house. I feel like i need to hang onto the security of having a house to come back to. I’ve decided to just hang onto it for the first year or less, & once we are on the road & settled in to traveling & living full-time & know for sure its what we want to do I can sell our house then. What a beautiful reno! Does not feel at all like a toy hauler. Smart idea to buy a trashed one, so you could save money and customize it perfectly for your needs.
Some people seem to object to the daughter's small space, but I think it's quite possible, and entirely likely, that she wanted a cozy bolt hole. I'm guessing that all the labels are for her benefit, and it seems to me that they would accommodate their child however she needed.
It's an absolutely beautiful reno, and a good reminder that life can change on a dime, so it's important to focus on what's truly important.
