I've come to the same minimalistic approach. Now I shop way less, mostly on sales/bonuses events, and yes I own less products and spend less money, but my few lipsticks are now Chanel and my foundation is Dior. I no longer have items in my makeup bag that are not perfect in terms of shade or longevity, expired or problematic in any other way. Sometimes I wish I could get to this state of mind in my early 20s... The time I used to spend for hours of online shopping now goes to work related education. At some point I've also realized that I had my own reasons for being engaged in compulsive shopping and I forgive myself for that... Instead of being swamped with shame and guilt, I try to develop compassion and understanding for my troubled "earlier self". That made a huge difference!
I love your philosophy! I love watching elegance influencers but sometimes I just feel like they’re so wasteful. You literally do not need 3 different foundations, 5 different blushes and 10 lipsticks to look good. No only are they wasting their money (since they probably cannot finish the product before expiring, they are also influencing their viewers to over consume. It’s bad for the environment and the pockets! Your minimalist makeup collection really speaks to me, right now I stopped myself from buying anymore products before I could finish the current ones I own.😊
I look forward to these videos the most from you every year! It's how I initially found your channel and I love to be inspired by your minimal collection
i recommend Viseart Visepro neutral mattes. I bought it during black friday and I am in love. I also have a very minimalist makeup collection and it’s the only palette I use for eyeshadow. Gorgeous formula and it comes in nice packaging that is also earth friendly.
I love your minimalist makeup collection videos!! 🥰🥰 it really helped me get rid of a ton of makeup I wasn’t using and also to stop buying makeup just because an influencer said it was good. So I only use a few cosmetic products and skincare products and I’m much happier and things makes much better sense.
Thank you, dear 🥰 I make a lot of videos about skincare here on my channel. Because I actually have a problematic and acne prone skin, so I take pride in how good it looks :D
Love your videos ❤ I don’t buy eyeshadow palettes anymore because I rarely use all the colors. I like the mono eyeshadows from Dior and Chanel. I have a dark tone and a mid toned matte for my crease and a slightly metallic for my lid. This way I can easily replace a shadow without having to buy a whole new palette. And if I am in the mood for a new color I can just add that single color to my collection.
I totally understand your approach. As an artist, I like the idea of having several different shades and creating dimensions. Not bold blue or pink eyeshadows, but a variety of neutral tones :) This is why I like palettes
Beautiful video !! A lovely clean beauty brand for eyeshadow is " Honest" It is nicely packaged, lasts well and the colors are natural and wearable. I have Chanel, Dior eyeshadows and mostly go to my Honest pallette. It is also thin and easy to pop in a bag for travel !
Feeling a little shameful after getting your video notification as I subcribed a couple of years ago in an effort to help dramatically reduce my spending on make up. Have made some progress but definitely not where I should be. My goal is to not necessarily have an extremely small collection (though definitely more minimal) but rather to stop purchasing make up thinking I need it and then it just sits there unused. Trying harder for 2025
No need to feel shame or guilt. Use what you already have, feel gratitude that you have all these options and just try to stay on track this year :) I will try to continue to remind you here about being a more mindful consumer through my videos

Thank you for being here all this time :) I'm glad you like these videos!
Viseart palettes have a longer shelf life (3 years) and have some beautiful quads and small palettes. The formula is excellent.
That sounds like a very good option for me, thank you for sharing!
I love your makeup collection ❤ Thank you so much for the video. I started following your channel because of your makeup collection of 2023 😊
I'm glad you like it and that you stayed here all this time ❤
Sí, yo también tengo pavor al maquillaje caducado.
Gracias.

here i am keeping my eyeshadows for 5+ years 😂
I would not risk it, especially if we are talking about the health and safety of your eyes

Well done! I'm so glad to see how many ladies are making positive changes in their approach to makeup and shopping :)
You have absolutely gorgeous skin!

I just watched the one from last year last night😂 I was hoping for an update. I love seeing realistic sized make up collections.
