    Thank you!!!
    No vocals, nice authentic feel.
    The Allman Bros made the best arrangement
    I've ever found, in fact this is the best semi
    sophisticated Blues arrangement I've ever
    found, not that I don't love standard 12 and
    16 bar blues. The Allman Bros took blues to
    another level. No one can top Greg's blues
    voice either.

      It was actually Bobby Blue Bland’s version except for the double time. T Bone Walker, who wrote the song did in a standard 12 bar version but it was Blue Bland that came up with the version that the Almman’s use. Listen to the intro of their version.

      @bikersoncall Год назад

      @@RobertVeasquez Yes, I eventually figured
      that out, this is why Greg sputters
      at the intro, ''we'd like to do an old
      bobby blue... actually a T Bone walker
      song'' to paraphrase.
      BBB took this song
      to another level entirely, AB did it proud.

      @@bikersoncallT-Bone's 1950's version from the "T-Bone Blues" record is the best, IMO, and by a great big margin.

      Nice recording, everyone used
      the 4 note intro at the end of
      the turn arounds, iconic.
      Tbone was definitely a gift
      to blues, 'Stormy Monday Blues'
      is one of the best ever written.

    They call it stormy Monday
    But Tuesday's just as bad
    They call it stormy Monday
    But Tuesday's just as bad
    Lord, and Wednesday's worse
    And Thursday's all so bad
    The eagle flies on Friday
    Saturday I go out to play
    The eagle flies on Friday
    Saturday I go out to play
    Sunday I go to church, yeah
    Gonna kneel down and pray
    Lord have mercy
    Lord have mercy on me
    Lord have mercy
    Lord have mercy on me
    Though I'm tryin' and tryin' to find my baby
    Won't somebody please send 'er home
    Oh ho
    Lord have mercy
    Lord have mercy on me
    Yeah, I'm proud, Lord have mercy
    Lord have mercy on me
    Though I'm tryin', tryin' to find my baby
    Won't send 'er home, yeah, oh baby

    Love this!!! I've also seen a version of this song with an Eb major chord in place of that Cm7. Sounds almost identical.

    Great track, and it's not a big deal.......but the ABB don't play Am7 to Cm7 in the last line. They play C/D to an Eb6. Just saying'. : )

    The guitar solo chart makes no sense.

    • @JeffWilliamsGuitar
      @JeffWilliamsGuitar  5 лет назад +1

      Sorry about that. I probably shouldn't have put a chart like that up without an explanation. This song works well with the minor pentatonic (plus blue note) and Major pentatonic. But when you see all the notes together it does look confusing.

    • @roymoubray8131
      @roymoubray8131 4 года назад +1

      Yeah the major and minor needs color-coded for people who aren't very deep in theory.... but the deeper you go this is how the fretboard starts to look.....multiple scales with Modal interchanges All layered up and down the neck and on top of each other
