I was wrong about the roaming and the local folder. I switched them. But deleting that doesn’t change anything for me and it takes only about I would say 20 seconds to compile all the shaders and I don’t have to reload them all the time. In general, I have quite OK performance but what fucks me up is the micro stuttering when I rotate the camera around the character or walking a small village I have this huge instabilities and stuttering. This basically unfortunately ruins my experience.
@@MS_X3 ah mate I’m sorry my solution hasn’t really worked out for you. Tbh I’m not very far into the game so performance for me will probs worsen. Just a shame really, been looking forward to playing this game since it released. Hopefully over time it gets to the experience it needed to be on release.
@@OD__ thanks mate. To be honest, I tried everything from every tutorial there on RUclips Reddit, or on the Internet or on Steam or whatever. And there is no way at the moment to get rid of those micro stutters. I think it’s because of the shaders somehow. I have a 3080 and I am playing on a 3080 .. even tried to go down to 1080 P.. The stutter does not go away, so it must be on the shader side, which I hope they will fix in some updates in the next weeks.
this ACTUALLY friggin worked and im so mad about that lmao. i did a sweep of my pc and reset it hoping it would fix it. either this worked, or moving my game to my SSD instead of my backup hdd i use for storage worked
I have a problem on pc where in or out of combat, IF THE CAMERA IS NOT CENTERED and player will dash backwords and cancel attacks or abiliets!!!! NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO FIX THIS and I cant play the game!! If I lock in THE SHIFT BUTTON THE CAMERA STOPS FOLLOWING ME AND ALLOWS ME TO *** PLAY!!!
I remember FF16 had this issue when playing on ps5 the graphics mode,it will cause the ps5 to overheat (not sure if it happens during the ifrit boss fight) it really made me not want to buy the game. But i dunno maybe after patches being released while playing the game on performance mode i guess that would solve the problem. Really want to play this at some point on my ps5
Yeah it’s not what you want when you buy something for £50ish and there glaring problems with it, they must have tested it before hand and seen this issue but still choose to release it in this condition that’s the most frustrating thing!
unfortunately didnt do anything for me, im sure its helped a lot of others though so appreciate the video nonetheless. my issue is just micro stutters, ill drop frames from 60 down to any number pretty much every time i make a move, i have a 12700ks cpu and a 4060, playing on 1080p bc a 4060 cant run 1440p unfortunately, and i have to have v sync on bc im playing on my tv, if i dont ill have screen tears
It kinda fixed it I’m also in the middle of the story. I usually get stutters alot in certain times but that could be why I’m on a AMD Ryzen -7 RTX 3050 Ti
Yeah I’m the same, not fully cured it but it does help, I think it depends on your hardware because some people have said it’s completely fixed the issue, where as for me, it’s just made the stutters less frequent.
I was getting very inconsistent frame rates (3070 5600x 16gb 1tb NVME) 50-80 in towns and 55-100 elsewhere had a driver update today it recompiled my shaders and not only am I getting better framerate 70-110 in the airship hideout but also for some bizarre reason the game loads zones much faster.
@OD__ turns out this only works for one session, and the game returns to being inconsistant again. I'm not sure why maybe if you have finished the game and loaded every zone already it will stay fixed seems the more you explore and add new zones the more you have to restart the game to get the performance back.
I deleted that file and the status recompile then, but there is no file in the data folder anymore.. and the game doesn’t compile the shaders on startup every time so where is that file and how can I delete the shaders because I think recombining the shaders will help me as well
It just a case of deleting that file again, once you reboot the game it’s should automatically start recompiling the shaders for you if not, then I suggest restarting your PC then trying again.
No just your shaders, then when you load up the game it should recompile them into a better order meaning better performance and less stuttering. Don’t get me wrong it’s not the perfect fix but as of right now, it can help the game run somewhat smoother until more patches are released for the game 😁
Please let me know if this fix helped you, post in the comment section 👇👇👇

Yeah can’t wait for that smooth gameplay experience, stuttering just takes you out of the immersion of the game!
@@MS_X3so do I , still got some micro stutters even after first patch hope this will include in the next patch.
Thanks a ton! It's running way better for me now!
Awesome stuff mate, glad it’s helped you 😁
It worked for me. No more micro stutters. Tnx!!! Really!!
Let’s go!!! Happy to hear it 😊

Fantastic news !!! glad I’m not the only one this trick has worked for 😁😁

My guy, no problem 👍

awesome stuff, imma recompile my shaders again as I've not played the game for a couple weeks now, hope for the same 😁😁😁

I have a Ryzen 5600x with an RTX 4070 Ti Super and even so my PC freezes and I have to restart, I've tried everything and nothing works

That file doesn't exist for me
The file should be generated when you first open the game, I don't know why you wouldn't have that file, sorry.
so it deletes everything?

What a pointless video
How was it pointless? It’s worked for people look at the comments…
