Shoaib was just box office. I remember when Richard Pybus (ex South Africa coach) was asked who he would pick between Steyn and Shoaib he said Shoaib without hesitation (having coached both) . He said Shoaib had so much more skill.
Meanwhile those were the end stages of his career, and he was coming back after a 6 months injury break since the test series against India in January 2006.
