Guys watch Minute 4:50 . Reynor purposely Chrono'ed his forge to misslead serral thst the upgrade is almost done. That move saved his nexus. Pretty smart, damn
I'm a little doubtful that that's the reason why he chronoed it - I think the thought process was more "my nexus is about to die so spend the energy on something before it dies".
@@nielsliljedahlchristensen4924 I'm saying he probably expected the locusts to kill his nexus instead of being used on the forge, and there's no point hoarding energy on a nexus that was probably about to die..
@@asdfqwerty14587 I follow. Might as well take 2-3 seconds off the upgrade timer with energy that's about to become extinct, even if the forge follows suit.
To be fair, at 7 minutes video time / 10:20 in-game time, the swarm hosts did in fact take down Reynor's third while you were off looking at stalkers and researching the crackling upgrade XD
Hey Harmstem, this may be an unusual request but could you ask uThermal to share a replay of the second game of his most recent mothership rush to GM series with you? I swear that game is the strongest contender to get the pass in is it imba or do I suck I have ever seen in my life
Might be just me, but it looked like Serral lost this game more than Reynor won it. Seemed like he made quite a few uncharacteristically bad decisions throughout the game that decided it more than Reynor playing Protoss significantly better than herO or MaxPax could.
It definitelly feels the way you described, however it's still Serral and he made some fine plays. Still there is a reason why Reynor picked protoss vs. Serral, his style may be different, but so is his outlook on the matchup as a top Zerg player. We could say that he's not really playing protoss for its strengths, but instead weaponizing protoss to counter the Zerg's shenanigans. A BO5 would be super interesting.
I disagree, to me it looked like Reynor knew how to badly abuse this matchup on this map and leaned into that aggressively. Reynor's strategy the entire time is dont attack just wait because Serral can never take a 6th base because of the map. Reynor just sat back, cleared the creep, and used air to snipe at Serrals 5th while taking one of Serrals bases and there was nothing Serral could do to stop him. I dont know the context of the series but I assume he went Zerg in all other games and only pulled out the offrace to abuse this specific map?
What a weird game, players seem exhausted. No vision, no quick pokes. Where's a couple flux-vane voidrays poking the corners, observer speed? I feel like Dark would just spam zerglings and own that splash-less army.
Can we just have a little discussion about how useful and forgotten double/triple Oracle + Phoenix is. Queens nullify Oracles, let's be honest. So nullifying the Queen is perfect. Why isn't this done more consistently vs Zerg? The last time I remember it being staple was from Stats. A good few years ago now. I believe this should be hard considered again when playing Zerg. Serral had two Queens AND a spore. Phoenix did it's job, wasn't even focused (for obvious reasons). Great Oracle micro, Phoenix gets out with basically full HP. 6 drones is massive, because again, let's be totally honest, how else is a Protoss hitting drones at this time if not for adepts lost and potentially getting no drones. Or having to commit to a stupid all in. Great to see Reynor doing this, a total joy to see. I hope future big tournaments allow him to be able to switch his race. He should be rewarded for getting good with Protoss by being allowed to play the race. Not only that, the biggest winners if that was allowed to be are the fans and SC2 themselves!!! People would love to see it on the big stage. No?
I dont buy this, seems fake or staged Game cast starting at min 3? With P starting the third?? Zerg always do early harass Protoss, why this time is different? Serral not expanding creep by minute 20 z has creep all over the map!, and being so passive?? Serral just doing nydus? Not attacking multiple locations with lings? Where are the banes and ravagers? We all know Raynor didnt like this patch, because he cannot win with an A move with banes anymore, and now pretending playing Protoss and win against the best Z in the world to "show P is op" its just sad.
“Zerg always do early harass Protoss” is really not true. Z has the least options for early harass, unless you go almost all in. Zerglings get countered by walling off. There’s no infiltration unit like a reaper or adepts, no fast flying units like oracles, and the slowest and most easy to spot proxy buildings. The standard is to try to delay the opponent’s probe or scv with 4 lings after a hatch opening, hopefully before a full wall on their natural. But it gets countered by a single reaper or adept, or 2 marines. So it’s not unusual that Zerg skips the harass.
@@enriquegarciacota3914I don't necessarily think this game is staged or fake, but your APM comment is odd. High APM does not equate to micro. Zerg requires lots of APM for overhead macro tasks, and Banelings are braindead a-move units that require very little micro.
Balance whiners are too funny: Raynor won 1 game in a bo5 -> Protoss OP :D It was from Homestory Cup XXIV and Serral won the match with a score of 3:1 ( Reynor played the second and third games as Zerg and the last game as Protoss and lost) A staged game is a legit argument, as in the second when it turns out Serral's entire career is over... I'm pretty sure He'd risk it........ (sarcasm)

I saw their cameras at the end of the last game. Man Serral looked angry
Certainly seemed like it from the in-game perspective.
It’s not anger. Just Finnish.
Serral has been quite open that Reynor is a hassle for him, always. :P
honestly was super fun watching this game and also very painful haha
A sticky note "that upgrade with claws is Adrenal Glands" on the edge of the monitor would help :D
Yo that Bo5 with Clem was a banger, great effort!

Because Serral wasn't mentally prepared for it. Reynor outplayed him with psychological warfare.
Not being able to think of Adrenal Glands and then clicking all around the building icons and never checking the name of it. I'm so triggered.

Love when Reynor play toss... Showing rest of the world that if you build probes and nexus you can ez outmine zerg...
If you play in a way that will outmine them, then it's likely you will also lose more resources than the zerg, which is a painful way to play PvZ.
Adrenal glands...

The best click bait title... wait, wow! 20 gateways.
It's not clickbait when it's true 😊
Serral seem make mistake that he ussually dont, he seem tired

Serral is training Reynor so he doesnt have to go to North Korea to show who are the best.
Serral can't go to to Korea. His ADD meds are illegal there and he can't play without them.
