Man, as a child, i danced to the song because it sounded awesome but i didn't understand what it was about because i barely knew english. Now, so many years later i finally undestand it and i must say, it's even more amazing. It fits the show, it expresses the greatness of summer from a child's viewpoint in such a way that even an adult can relate. It's great, it's just great. I am really glad this was part of my childhood.
They had so many good songs about Summer - this one, Summer Belongs to You, One Last Day of Summer, Summer All Over the World - and they all really show the deeper meaning of the show

The best song from Across the 2nd Dimension, perhaps the best song in the entire show. I love the instrumentals at the beginning, Phineas' singing and describing the typical summer day, and even referencing the theme song. The chorus, the relaxed part of the song after the theme song, and then it gets back its pace, OH its so amazing!

While quarantine is kinda annoying, it's necessary. Here in Brazil, people didn't care about it at forst, and went to participate in Carnival anyways. Now, our country has the most cases of covid-19 (if I'm not mistaken). This quarantine is something necessary, and it's no way as malicious as Evil Doof's dictatorship.

every year around this time I get nostalgic for this song... it always brings a tear to my eye because all the things they love about summer weren't material. It was all the simple things that brought them joy. That's the real magic of childhood.
I remember I turned 9 years old a few weeks before this movie came out (I was born on 8/26/2002 and I turned 9 on 8/26/2011) and my dad bought it from Amazon I think and me and my siblings watched it nonstop. I miss 2011, back when life was good and I didn’t have to worry about getting a job. Now after 2 years of struggling to find a job, I may be working at one of my local grocery stores as a cashier sometime in the next few weeks.
Where has the time gone? I want the early 2010’s to come back and I also wish to be a kid again! 😭😭

Hey hey hey.. no matter how old you are, if you're a young adult or a teenager, no matter what you are, you're still a kid on the inside.. i'm 10 and even though summer isn't here yet, I still get my time to do what i love.. I'm near the edge of teen land and i'm doing everything i can accomplish and still following my dreams. I know being a kid is great but i also know we hate growing up. But growing up is a part of life, nothing can stop it.. So even if you're a kid or not, you're your memories are the world's best stories that are waiting to be told

Something about this song just makes me wanna bawl like a baby. It fills with with this deep and immense melancholy for summers long past when I was just a kid, it calls to mind times when things were simpler. When the best day ever could be chilling under a tree in the shade. I'm not sure if the immense melancholy comes from grief, stemming from a feeling that I wasted my childhood being alone, that I have hang ups about that. I'm not sure if it comes from nostalgia from those days, from watching phineas and ferb re-runs in secret when the other kids in my life thought it was lame. I can't place it. I'm writing this comment to reflect on the emotion I suppose. It's easy to try and repress and emotion by doing something else. But I want to feel it. It's complex, but it's not negative even if it makes me sad. The song makes me feel good in some ways too, it's still got that bombastic positivity the show is known for and that's still here for me to.
Oddly enough the line that sticks out to me, gets stuck in my head and really brings out the emotions is the chorus.
"It's Ice Cream Cones and Cherry Soda dripping down your chin." It creates this vivid picture of the summer vacation experience. the moments I had as a child, moments I wish I had more of.
I could go on like this. I might mediate on what this song means to me some more. I feel like I could go on for hours about the way it makes me feel.

5/24/24: Yippee! School is over!! I think I forgot to write when I finished 9th grade, but now I have finished 10th grade ! Our finals got waived!!
