I don't think I have a single favorite song that's not "political" if that's what you call caring for all your neighbors. I'm sure i'm alone in that, right? My encouragement goes out to Mandolin Orange for reaching the ears of the very people enabling our current situation to exist 🙂 music has a way of making me think--or am I alone in that too?
What a load of shit. So sick of mindless comments over the years like that. There must be so many hundreds of musicians and song writers you dislike. Little secret you might not know, they are all extremely successful and revered.
Whatever they want to say is just fine by me, because they are so constructive and inspiring. OTOH if you want them and us to behave like ostriches, you should rethink your priorities. We (US) can do so much better, and must. If anything, their "politics" (I'd say philosophy of life) are very inclusive.
This might sound crazy to you but there are actually people out there who have integrity and would rather sing what they truly feel than appeal to a greater number of people.
