*LEAVE A LIKE FOR CHICO! :)* Do you remember my 2021 Best-Of video? In which I said that I'd like to challenge myself more? Well. I wasn't lying. Making a video like this Gran Canaria one was new to me. And it was tough to motivate myself since I know that it won't generate a decent amount of views. But I promised myself not to create for exposure and likes anymore. I want to create content that makes me proud. So - would you be proud of yourself if you created a video like that?
Of course I would be happy and proud to make a video like that. It takes a lot of effort. I do take videos when traveling and it’s a pain to cut what’s boring and just put the interesting parts. You are doing an amazing job and that can be seen on your viewers and the comments you receive. Most viewers feel you like a friend me included and we travel and ride with you and your videos. So keep working hard and do what makes you proud. That’s also what we like to see.

Your "sound" series has some of the most vicarious motorcycle videos I've ever seen. This was an interesting change to your channel. I can tell a lot of work and care went into this video. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, Schaaf big fan here. Yesterday i met theses guys from canary ride! It was a very welcoming experience! After a day in the saddle, i have 2 more unexpected things i found: not a single insect died on my helmet! And the crazy temperature diference between coast 27 and summit 38 degree Celsius! I will come back! Best ride of my life!

Being canario from Gran Canaria makes me extremely proud of my island even more watching this and making me feel soooo lucky . I can enjoy It each day all year long . And another good thing is that you can travel between islands to enjoy the other island roads. You guys are more than welcome to come here to enjoy everything we can bring , thats surely is not as much as other countries or places but It surely are good to enjoy life. You can ask for any question about travel here , i will respond without problems!

Aber bei dieser Qualität und mit so viel Aufwand hatte ich noch mehr Spaß beim zusehen. Deine Editing Skills sind brutal! Vor allem mag ich deine unverblümte, ehrliche Art und diesen authentischen, ansteckenden Humor. Durch das ganze Influencertum der letzten Jahre ist echt schwierig geworden einen ehrlichen, lebensechten Kontent zu bekommen. Für mich persönlich ist dein Kanal eine absolute Perle auf der Plattform. Und selbstverständlich freue ich mich über jede deiner seltenen Erscheinungen auf 1000PS. I watched this video 2 years ago for the first time. And now after 2 years memories suddenly came back and I want to visit this place soooo badly 🥵 It’s not easy since I was broke as a joke my whole childhood, and still, every day is a new battle. But I would like to visit and ride a bike in this place as soon as possible, specially because I was never on a plane and propper vacation. Stay hard!!!
I'm a true believer. Gran Canaria is an amazing destination for us Northern Europeans locked in the debths of winter. Riden there four times now, it is everything you describe. I think you were unlucky to see much rain. Beautifully made vid. 👏

Ok, as an Austrian I fully believe you this is paradise in winter. But those of us that have to pay for everything motorcycle related, 1.100 Euros cover almost the whole season of riding. Yes, the short summer season, but nevertheless. As for myself, I ride the whole year. Even in winter roads can be dry and warm clothes are not expensive and last long. So the only thing I truly hate about winter riding is salt on the roads and the cleaning after. Last weekend Kalte Kuchl - roads dry, skiing going on right beside the road, what a paradox feeling. So my winter "escape" is still - Austria. ;). For now. Very nice video, Schaaf! Stay safe!

Great video if only for the twist after curve after twist after curve clips but it was informative too👍 I went to Tenerife once and it was wonderful, sadly it was after my spine issues stopped me riding but to hire a bike would have been a dream ride.❤️ Speed and ride safe my friend.😊👍

Nils hat das letztes Jahr schon sehr schmackhaft beworben. Schön zu sehen, dass Du es ihm dieses Jahr gleichgetan hast. Eigentlich sollte man das wirklich über den Winter machen - tja, eigentlich. Die Preise für die Bikes sind absolut fair und dazu ohne Kilometer-Begrenzung. Das ganze bewegt sich auf alle Fälle in einem preislich realistischeren Rahmen als die letzten Motorrad-Reise-Präsentationen von Gregor, auch wenn die Destinationen nicht miteinander zu vergleichen ist, aber schön ist es auf GC allemal. #greatfootage ✌👍
Absolut. Ich hab nämlich seine GC Videos geschnitten. Und deshalb die Entscheidung gefällt, selbst auf diese Insel zu fliegen :) Und ja, preislich find ichs auch sehr fair. Der von dir angesprochene Anbieter löst bei mir nur Kopfschütteln aus :)
Been to LPA so many times for work and never realised how insane the roads are although I have sampled some lovely food and wine there. I am definitely going before the spring

Hallo Schaaf, sehr schönes und sehr gut gemachtes Video! Ich liebe die Insel auch, war schon 4mal da, doch leider nur mit 4 Rädern auf den Strassen - was jedoch, wenn man die Familie mal nicht im Auto hat, auch sehr viel Spaß macht. Da konnte selbst ich als nur halbwegs geübter Fahrer den Fahrwerksunterschied zwischen einem Golf und einem Gefährt von Citroen ausmachen - es waren Welten... Mit dem Motorrad die Insel (oder auch Teneriffa oder La Palma) zu erkunden, steht ganz weit oben auf meiner "Things to do before I die" - Liste - Dein Video hat den Wunsch jetzt nochmal verstärkt... Vielen Dank für die tollen Aufnahmen und Impressionen, auch wenn ich die Insel sehr gut kenne, haben mich die Bilder nochmal geflasht! PS: nichts gegen Klapphelme ;-) als Brillenträger "liebe" ich sie seit vielen Jahren...

@@Schaaf hi again, I literally just arrived back from gran canaria today :D we had a Honda cb500x and a BMW G650GS and the time of our lives, just as you said😂 reeally beautiful country, where it's possible to get sunburned in maspalomas and driving through a snowszorm in tejeda on the same day haha
Since you asked - I don't go on a winter escape due to time and people I am close to. It is difficult to justify to leave for a week during the limited free time that I could spend with my girlfriend in between the fall and spring semester (we're both still studying, we only have around two weeks of free time). My "winter escape" therefore is riding locally with the adequate clothing as long as its over 5°C and temperatures have been mild during the night. Tomorrow is perfect for example :) (In Westdeutschland jedenfalls) Edit: Yep. You convinced me. Either my gf gets her license or one of my best buddies does it.
I'd recommend convincing your gf. I once had the opportunity to ride for a week with a lovely female accompanying me and it was one of the best things I've ever experienced :)
If I was living in Northern Europe right now, instead of Thailand, I would be sold. Looks fantastic for the multitude of reasons you outlined......Chico ❤
I've been to Andalucia many times. Last year I was there for one month in February and March. I had 5 days of sun, the rest was rain and clouds. So, not quite as nice as the Canarys ;)
Servus Schaaf. Aufgrund deiner Videos habe ich mir für Januar 24 eine Woche GC mit Motorrad gebucht. Natürlich war ich so schlau und hatte vergessen, deinen Rabattcode anzugeben... 🙄 Aber das ist egal. Ich bin sehr gespannt auf die Insel, die Kurven und die Honda NC750x, die ich hoffentlich bekomme. Danke für das Video - deine Gründe waren absolut überzeugend. Es sind die kleinen Dinge, die zählen.

Ja Gran Canaria ist schon ein Traum zum Motorradfahren. Ich war erst im November mit eigenen Motorrad dort, und auch auf Tenerifa, Fuerteventura und Lanzarote. Es ist nur halt so die Inseln sind sehr klein, zb Gran Canaria kennst du spätestens am dritten Tag alle Straßen wobwei Gran Canaria noch eine der größeren Inseln ist. Ich hatte schon wunderschöne 10 Tage auf den Canaren. Meine Afrika Twin hat alles gesehen von besten Asfalt bis gröbsten Schotter. Grüße Gottfried

Thanks man! I transport it inside my checked luggage. I have a dedicated OGIO bag for motorcycle luggage. But most airlines also let you take the helmet on board as additional personal item

Hallo Schaaf, sehr schönes und sehr gut gemachtes Video! Ich liebe die Insel auch, war schon 4mal da, doch leider nur mit 4 Rädern auf den Strassen - was jedoch, wenn man die Familie mal nicht im Auto hat, auch sehr viel Spaß macht. Da konnte selbst ich als nur halbwegs geübter Fahrer den Fahrwerksunterschied zwischen einem Golf und einem Gefährt von Citroen ausmachen - es waren Welten... Mit dem Motorrad die Insel (oder auch Teneriffa oder La Palma) zu erkunden, steht ganz weit oben auf meiner "Things to do before I die" - Liste - Dein Video hat den Wunsch jetzt nochmal verstärkt... Vielen Dank für die tollen Aufnahmen und Impressionen, auch wenn ich die Insel sehr gut kenne, haben mich die Bilder nochmal geflasht!
PS: nichts gegen Klapphelme ;-) als Brillenträger "liebe" ich sie seit vielen Jahren...

@@Schaaf hi again, I literally just arrived back from gran canaria today :D we had a Honda cb500x and a BMW G650GS and the time of our lives, just as you said😂 reeally beautiful country, where it's possible to get sunburned in maspalomas and driving through a snowszorm in tejeda on the same day haha
Tenerife is great aswell! I think all of Spain is a great destination for motorcycling riding...

Since you asked - I don't go on a winter escape due to time and people I am close to. It is difficult to justify to leave for a week during the limited free time that I could spend with my girlfriend in between the fall and spring semester (we're both still studying, we only have around two weeks of free time). My "winter escape" therefore is riding locally with the adequate clothing as long as its over 5°C and temperatures have been mild during the night. Tomorrow is perfect for example :) (In Westdeutschland jedenfalls)

I'd recommend convincing your gf. I once had the opportunity to ride for a week with a lovely female accompanying me and it was one of the best things I've ever experienced :)

The bad thing is that in 1 week you end up seeing it all. Next time you can go to Tenerife. It is even more exaggerated with a volcano 4000 m high.
In 4 days of riding I didn't manage to see all the great roads. On Tenerife I did in just 3 days. I much prefer GC
You can ride in southern and eastern mainland Spain all year round as well, nice weather is guaranteed 👌
I've been to Andalucia many times. Last year I was there for one month in February and March. I had 5 days of sun, the rest was rain and clouds. So, not quite as nice as the Canarys ;)

Aufgrund deiner Videos habe ich mir für Januar 24 eine Woche GC mit Motorrad gebucht. Natürlich war ich so schlau und hatte vergessen, deinen Rabattcode anzugeben... 🙄
Aber das ist egal. Ich bin sehr gespannt auf die Insel, die Kurven und die Honda NC750x, die ich hoffentlich bekomme.

Ja Gran Canaria ist schon ein Traum zum Motorradfahren.
Ich war erst im November mit eigenen Motorrad dort, und auch auf Tenerifa, Fuerteventura und Lanzarote.
Es ist nur halt so die Inseln sind sehr klein, zb Gran Canaria kennst du spätestens am dritten Tag alle Straßen wobwei Gran Canaria noch eine der größeren Inseln ist.
Ich hatte schon wunderschöne 10 Tage auf den Canaren.
Meine Afrika Twin hat alles gesehen von besten Asfalt bis gröbsten Schotter.

Thanks man! I transport it inside my checked luggage. I have a dedicated OGIO bag for motorcycle luggage. But most airlines also let you take the helmet on board as additional personal item

I've ridden both islands quite extensively and Gran Canaria offers more variety of better roads
