It may be obvious but after you make your prototype you want to do everything in batches. Print all your insides Cut Everything out- your printed invites, your main panel, your side panels, your bell bands. Keep things stacked in neat piles and use small boxes or tupperware type bowels to keep things neat. Keep your ribbons and embellishments in a bowel or box. Do all your embossing and die cutting. Do all your inking and stamping. Then assemble. You can even have an assembly party at that point. Have fun and give yourself time so you aren't hating every second of it.
Bless you Lindsay!!! I am getting married next year and have spent hours online trying to find something I liked for our invitations. I would mess with something, pick something out, and then put it back right before I paid for it; I did not want to pay for something I hated. I LOVE this card and I am going to try card making for the first time with my invitations. Thank you so much!!!!!
I think they would also make very beautiful wedding or engagement cards! I have those same little heart brads and small silver and gold buckles! I have also had them for years!
Absolutely beautiful! I made a large batch of holiday gate fold cards without belly bands. You need those on a wedding invitation but my holiday cards for the USO didn't require them. Quick, easy, and still fun at card number 25. I donated 300 cards last year. Cards can still be fun at the end of your batch if you plan ahead to work with your mood. Non creative day - Great time for getting the message/info written/printed. Frustrated day- Great time to use a guillotine paper trimmer. Pretty happy day - Great time to emboss and add whatever color or embellishments you want to the embossing.
LIndsay! This was a fantastic tutorial for the 1st timer as well as seasoned veterans. I hope that this inspires people to just "give it a try" because I know that this particular project/design will definitely build their crafty confidence. BTW, you look especially beautiful and radiant in this video.
Hair....awesome!!! Cards....awesome!!! Lindsay....awesome!! I sense a theme. Thanks for this vid...in the process of planning my sister's wedding and bridal shower.
Thanks so much Lindsay, I am getting married at the end of next year and your invitations have made my life much easier, thanks again Lesley in Australia xxxx
Hi there I was wondering if you'll make an updated video on wedding invitations soon? I know this video is a few years old lol. I have a wedding in December and you're the only one I've loved watching so far.
Ohh I like the white embossed one. Would look nice for christmas with a red ribbon and a cabuchon of some sort :) Or just as it is with an insert tag. How cute.
Thank you so much, Lindsay!! I've been searching high and low for buttons and brooches to adorn my handmade wedding bouquet and you've linked me with the site that can help me!! I just placed an order using your code and can't wait for the pretties to arrive so I can place them in my bouquet!! You are awesome!
+Eyes On Allison Thank you so much for your order! It has already been shipped and you should get it very soon! Happy crafting and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Natalie
+Totally Dazzled Thank you so much! I cannot wait! Everywhere I've looked the buttons and brooches are crazy expensive or not the style I'm looking for. I was so excited to see your site!! :)
+Eyes On Allison That is so great to hear! We do pride ourselves on offering a wide variety of styles all at great prices! So happy you thought so too! We'd love to see some photos of your bouquet when you're done!
Regularly make multiples of the same card (60 + ). It will take longer than you think so allow time. Have extra materials so if one does not meet your standard (the words are upside down) you can make more. For me I like to make my cards in steps - print whatever needs printing, cut out whatever needs cutting, attach the inside of the card first, then attach the outside. I've mailed enough cards to know what is acceptable inside an envelope to mail with one stamp. I would suggest making a test card and taking it to the post office to check the weight and depth, so you know how much the card will cost to mail.
My family bicycles 192 mikes from Sturbridge, MA to Provincetown, MA for PMC the first week of August each year. A part of the fundraising is sending "Thank You" notes to those who generously donated to the Pan Mass Challenge via Jimmy Fund. I made 200 cards using the colors of their riding shirts. Everyone commented on the cards they received.
Hi, I want to make my daughter invitations for her wedding and was wondering if you can do a video on how to use Microsoft word to do them and also what Microsoft is best to make invitations. Thanks
I just got done doing invitations a couple of months ago to my son's wedding. I found my printer would not register that the vellum was there. If anyone else has this problem just use a couple of dots of glue at the very top (the edge that feeds into the printer and glue the sheets of vellum to regular printer paper. You loose a tiny strip of the vellum at the top of each page but I then had no problems getting my printer to figure out that it was there.
Very BEAUTIFUL! My daughter has someone print all the wedding invitations cards with RSVP cards on pea rled lavender paper but the card is plain and boring . What can we do to make it more appealing. Remember there is 500 of them. Thank you
+thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich Thank you for your prompt response! I really enjoy your videos. They have taught me a lot about crafting. Your links to crafting supplies are so good! Thank you!
+confusedwhynot yep. I have used an inkjet on vellum for years. Just be careful and don't smear your hand over the ink too soon after they are printed- like give it a 15-30 seconds to dry before you wipe your hand across it.
First time I am seeing this and I would be so grateful if you could slow down your speech. Extremely difficult to follow your voice and you are not even in sync with your video sound. It is impossible to follow you but love your card, tfs

Excellent! I have watched a lot of videos for making my own wedding cards, but this is the best by far for me, as I'm a beginner. Thank you so much.
I am so glad I am not the only one that notches the ribbon the wrong way!!!! Can't way to dig out my buckles and order more blingy ones!

Love it!!! thank you! I would love to know the cost of a card like that. I don't know if it is an appropriate question...
+ENAIRAMA1 you can make it for a dollar but it would cost $5 each card if ordered from a shop
+thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich Thank you for your prompt response! I really enjoy your videos. They have taught me a lot about crafting. Your links to crafting supplies are so good! Thank you!

Great video, love your invite ideas xxx

it is vellum, it is a frosted paper that you can print on with your inkjet printer. Office supply sores or craft stores sell it.
Hello, I was wondering if you make those to order?
+Jere John I don't but if you don't want to make them yourself try etsy:)
Ok . Thanks for the reply.
