Two or three years ago I found a piece of pottery and it was from there bottom of some sort of ceramic. It was from the company ‘Ridgways Stoke on Trent’ and I can’t seem to find anything that is similar to it. I mainly just want to identify which piece it may have been from. I’ve done a little bit of digging based on the logo and found that it may be from around 1885-1890

Two weeks ago I found a rectangle shaped piece of pottery on the beach in Key West. It’s an ivory color with pink cherry blossoms. I also found right next to it, a large 2”x 2” piece of clear sea glass.

Nice! I wonder if it was a shard of Franciscan ware - desert rose pattern?

for much older shards, search in settlement areas dating back 200-300 years - New England, the Mid-Atlantic region south to SC, US; trhroughout the UK, the Caribbean. PNW/California shorelines are good places to find mid-20th c pottery shards
