This is good. Over the last 14 years the UK has been becoming more and more like Moldova was when bald went because the last government stole every penny. They finally started fixing the roads just before the last election to make it look like they were doing something but still today there are places where the road is so bad none of the actual road surface exists and it's just all holes. Our schools and hospitals are falling down from lack of maintenence. It's going to take years to fix but we can only hope that those in power now act responsibly, spend money wisely and don't steal.
Hi there. I am the citizen of the Republic of Moldova. Real Moldavian folk. Chișinău was a mess years ago. I remember even some of the shops changed, some went out of business and of course, the whole city in general how it looked. Today, walking in Chișinău definitely feels like day and night. Clean, beautiful and a place to be! ✨

Belgrade is nice, I'm Swedish and been to Belgrad. One of the top citys in Europe, and I been all over. I can say compered to Skopje, so is Belgrad like x10 times better. Not to shit on Skopje, but you get my point.
@@NordVast Skoplje was very nice in 70s and 80s,earthaqukae in 1963 almost distroy whole city so it was totaly rebuild and was like totaly new city but after end off Yugoslavia in 1991 it went it to disrepair ,it dont have money like Croatia from tourism to keep it nice

We spent a week in Chisinau this summer and yes, it certainly is different than was portrayed by Bald's video, as well as others. We were very pleasantly surprised and had a wonderful time.

These things had to happen and they happened and not because some westerner shamed them for not fixing it. Chisinau started looking better with the new mayor, at least for now(if it's gonna last long or not is questionable. I guess that's why he's called a tile man by some people🤷♂️)
I was in Chisinau last summer and had a great time. I'd seen Bald's video before booking my trip, and was surprised by how much nicer the city was compared to my expectations. Very friendly people and definitely recommend a visit.
I am in Chișinău now and wanted to see the places that Benjamin highlighted in his video. I, too, was blown away at how much better this all has become. In fact, many areas of Chișinău seem to be improving massively. It's a beautiful city!

That underpass is better than even our subways/tube stations in the UK. I’d much fancy looking at pretty artwork in places like that when commuting than corporate advertising for healthcare, insurance, fast food, cars etc.

One must applaud Moldova for attempting to improve. Countries like India have been featured in dozens of Bald's videos for many years yet the people there feel no motivation to make any any improvements. Some peoples learn from their errors while others never do... 🤔
Ive been there a few times and the air pollution is quite bad. Mostly from cars exported from other euro countries. Its a shame because Chisinau is actually somewhat nice.
Maybe Bald has some positive effect with his video's, I always love to watch them and Andrei really nice to show how the city has changed and is changing. I would consider going there now !
I've visited Chisinau 3 months ago, spent here a few days, it's really visible how much effort you're trying to put to make this place less miserable than it seems to be. Like, new bike lines in the centre, more modern buses from Norway, smaller infrastructure projects, generally - I see you're trying and not giving up despite the general pessimism! I felt weird as everyone around was shocked when they realised I'm a foreigner to see your city in the middle of the May week, but I won't lie, you have a lot of lovely people over there. I need to come back, really, Moldova hits me different, I really want to be back here soon! Multumesc, Moldova!
