I think Dianne bought a frame made for a box springs/mattress combo. A box spring has a frame internally that makes it not require slats, it can just sit on that lip in the bed frame.

Sorry Joe, I was laughing so much during this vlog I almost wet myself!! I was terrified that you were going to fall down the stairs when trying to take the mattress up - I recently fell backwards down the stairs & broke my shoulder. I bought a similar bed (almost exact bed) but the slats came with it, just in a separate box! You need to get the slats otherwise the middle wooden plank will break! Good luck.

Hey Joe, a PT here 👋 Just 3 solid weight sessions a week pushing until your muscles go to failure Upper Lower Full body And you’ll be totally fine. For your bench press technique try closing the angle between your body and your upper arm (tuck your elbows in a little) and you’ll feel the press more in your pecs and a little less in your frontal delts 😇 Don’t overthink it, 5 exercises per session, push a weight in a 6-10 rep range for 3-4 sets and make sure the last few reps feel really difficult ☺️ hope this helps!

Clocks go back here in the majority of British Columbia, Canada this upcoming Sunday. There is one province and one territory that don't change their clocks at all and a section of British Columbia doesn't. There's talk of not doing the back and forth, but we want to stay on the same time zone as the west coast of the US so they would also have to make the change not to change if that makes sense.
I live in North Carolina,USA and we turn clocks back this weekend(2am Sunday or before going to bed on Sat.) I wish we could just set it and leave it !
For the bed, maybe you could just order slats seperately. I know with beds from ikea (and other stores here) you order the frame and slats separately, so just look at the size of the bed and order 2 sets with it, because it are just general sizes (1.20, 1.40, 1.60 and 1.80 m) hope this helps

German here, searched the Krok Wood Jana Massivholzbett Diane bought and it comes without the slats. There are slats you can buy from the same company but they are sold seperatly.
As someone who works as a costomer service person of a bed company. I'm quite sure this bed will need slats. having said this not all beds get send out with slats included, we sell a lot of beds for which you will need to buy the slats separate. Lot of people use their old slats in the new bed or they prefer slats with more comfort zones.

Watching from sunny Perth - wish our clocks did change but hey the curtains might fade or the cows won’t milk if the clocks change. It’s better isn’t it to have sun at 4 in the morning rather than at 8 at night - not 😂
In Russia we don't do that clock thing any more. Previously, we did it. But now it's so much better when you don't have to adjust and get used to a different time.

If the bed doesn’t come with slats, then you have to have a boxspring to go on the bedframe then your mattress sits on top of that or if the bed has slats, you can just put them mattress right on top.
im originally from the uk born and raised but i moved to indonesia around 6 years ago and they dont have daylight savings here so the clocks stay the same the whole year, it was weird at first especially contacting people back home id have to worry about the time difference but after a while its amazing i dont have to worry about times changing or feeling the effects of that either, its amazing, i dont know what i'll do if i move back home or to another country with daylight savings coz ill have to get used to it again id suppose.

In the US our clocks don't go back until the 2/3rd of November. And the state of Arizona is the only one that doesn't change at the moment. They always talk about getting rid of the time change 😂 and here we are still changing them.

Hi Joe you had me worried carrying that heavy box upstairs especially when you tipped it the other way. Thank goodness you didn’t fall backwards. I knew the mattress would expand to fit and usually they tell you to leave them loose for a couple of hours to reform their shape. Obviously slats are missing. A DIY programme on TV the other day showed how to make your own slats or to purchase them on line. They come in varying sizes and some have to b cut down to fit. Before you cut the rug caught in by the screw I thought why not cut the rug, which you did in the end. Dianne’s feet were a bit dirty underneath and I thought they could soil the mattress. Another enjoyable watch 👏❤️🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸

Here in Australia there is daylight savings along the east side except for here in Queensland due to farming. So we don’t change the clocks but everyone else does
Queensland (also NT and WA) in Australia does not do daylight savings BUT the rest of the country does. Its so annoying. We go from 3 time zones to 5 every summer. Doing any kind of business nationally is such a pain.
I hear you! I used to be part of a Commonwealth project group (UK, Australia, Canada, India, South Africa) that had monthly conference calls. It was bad enough trying to get everyone available at once but when the clocks changed ...! Canada and UK would go back, but at different times; Australia would go forward and the others stayed put. It was a nightmare to work out and tell people when the call was in their time zone.
