I did a sort of wall decoration with badly burned CDs and DVDs, and I like the rainbow reflections they project everywhere when the sunlight strikes them.
The napkin holder is really cute. I also really like the picket fence basket and the earring and nail polish stand. I think I'd prefer something more ridged than a TP or paper towel tube, but your idea is a great jumping off point for me. Thanks for sharing.
finally!!!! finally someone made a diy vid with cds! i've got loads of them and i was searching for ideas and inspriations.thank you so much!!! they're amazing and easy to do and not need much tools perfect!

Well Miss. Debbie, I am so loving all of your Diy's. They all turned out Very Creative and Pretty too. I will be trying some of them out for sure. I really enjoyed watching. Thanks for sharing... xoxoxo....
Hi I am new to your channel and your creations are beautiful ! I just have one question on your last item which one is the real CD you used ? Because I know the plastic could not have been that strong to hold the nail polishes.
@@tacksscherbo7771 LOL There is no way in hell you can cut one of those with scissors, they are damned tough. I've just realized i've had that cd on my desk for about 20 years.
Andrea P - That part of the vid "disappeared" so I wonder how many scissors were wrecked. Or CDs shattered. Or fingers punctured!! Instead of screwing around with buying lace, or pearls, or glitter, etc., hell, just use an old blouse, or teeshirt, or jeans, etc., cut out a few circles and glue the fabric to the CDs. Absorbent and non stick coasters galore. Frankly, I prefer paper towels. I dry them and reuse them. lol And I erase my CDs and reuse those too.
@@bluegrassbeauty19 I also used some in the past tied with string to sticks to scare the birds away from veggie seeds in the garden. Most stuff nowdays is digital so i dont have problems with cds anymore.
Be realistic, in 2 years they will get tossed in the trash anyway, then the landfill will have glue and paint seeping into the soil. The best thing to do is put your napkins in a stack and stop buying CDs and fake flowers.
Yessireee It will cost you $15 in supplies, minimum, to save a $1.00 CD. (6:33) Now, that's what I call smart conservation and economics. I know that's what it will cost because I just spent that to save a dozen spotted tee shirts. Same type of supplies!! (lace, rosettes, glue gun, glue, plus a half yard of fabric)
Peggy - Sure!! Assuming that every single house that has a computer is a dyed in the wool crafter's house. Odds are, though, both husband and wife have to work to pay for that house, not to mention keep their kids fed, clothed and geared up for their activities. If you have the supplies, congratulations. Otherwise, it's just not worth that kind of expense. Odds are you are better off erasing the disks and reusing them.
@@sherjacobson7800 Simply an opinion which everyone has a right to offer!! It's called my freedom of speech, just like you used yours. Besides which, it gives someone a basis of cost comparison, should they not consider looking at it.
really cute ideas. as for Stevie c. didn't your mama teach you if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing? if you don't like it just close the video, life is to short to be mean. the planter is my favorite.

I've had a cd sitting on the end of my desk for years that i use as a coaster.
Andrea - Then you are the smart one!!! Did ya ever try to cut the inside of one with scissors??? 4:40 is a bunch of poppycock.

But real crafters can adapt her ideas using supplies we already have!!
