Hi nice tidy work looks awesome, maybe worth using gel filled wire tap connectors as they are 100% water tight and they protect the newly exposed wires from furring up.
I have seen a tiny pin prick in a wire insulation allow copper wire to turn blue inside the insulation causing a electrical issue of no engine run condition
Excellent. You are giving me so many ideas! You mention adding another CAN Smart. Two questions....1. Do you cover adding a second CAN Smart in your video series. (I’m searching. EDIT: Found it!) 2. Can the second CAN Smart set up work if my existing unit is a Version 1? Thank you sir!
Thanks a bunch! I’m listening to it now. I don’t exactly understand what a “daisy chain” is but I’m only partway through the video so hopefully you will lay out the wiring for the two CAN Smarts. Cheers!
@@ABIKETHING No rush. I won't be fitting it until after lockdown, so take your time. It was your video that inspired me to buy it. I'm going to have to watch it again though before I attempt to fit it.
I discovered today that tapping into the harness for T3 is difficult with the 2021 model gs. Since the signals also have marker lights and there is only 2 wires going to the blinker. The amber light stays on and doesn't allow the white light to come on
Hi Steve Great video thanks. I’ve fitted some rear T3 on my 2020 s1000xr ,they work great but the side lights flicker do you have any idea why please? I’ve used possi taps Thanks Andrew
Sorry, I didn't go into it too much as the instructions are laid out pretty well from Denali and it's where you get your running live from which is more challenging. I take the turn signal power directly from the blue wire on the turn signals (this is also in the instructions) and the ground also comes from the brown wire on the turn signal too.
@@dhirajkaile The GPS mount is closer but the but the wiring for isn't, not if you're going to tap into it in an inconspicuous place. In this video I show the coloured wires at the back of the plug but I've tapped into the wires further round out of sight. Also take into consideration by tapping into another area of the bike it may have a negative effect on the canbus wheres the method I have used is proven to not effect it.
HI Thanks again for the great Videos! Quick question : On the T3 mounting brackets is that zip ties also holding them down and if it is how did you secure them that way . It looks very clean. Thanks TJ
I like it.. any ideas to add similar lights for the rear ? Maybe installed on to the OEM luggage rack? I simply want to add more visibility on the rear at night.. Thanks!
Hello, Can you tell me the T3 plug and play connectors for the CANsmart. And if there is wiring, can you tell me the wires to be wired on connector knowing that they are 4 in number . Thank you in advance
Just installed these on my 790r after receiving my s3’s from yourself, great service by the way,I’ve installed the t3’s as per the instructions into the headlight surround, but on indication I’m getting rapid sim flashing from the indicators and t3’s almost like a short or bad earth, don’t suppose you have any idea where I’ve gone wrong, cheers
How do you attach the T3 mounts to the engine bars pls? If I’ve got a pair of S4s, a pair of T3s at the front and a sound bomb do I need two cansmarts? Sorry if this has already been covered somewhere !!
You don’t need 2 cansmarts. Check this wiring schematic to help further understand how many circuits you need. www.dropbox.com/s/pbux6tpwz6iyzj2/T3%20CANsmart%20adapter.png?dl=0
Hi Steve, can you just replace the stock horn with a Soundbomb on a CanBus bike? Looked through your vids but couldn't find a video on the topic, great videos btw.
@@ABIKETHING , OK - so you are saying that you need a can opener to mount the soundbomb? I downloaded the instructions and it shows the relay but I think the instructions are for a generic non CanBus bike. I don't want to create problems with the electronics when a control module detects an unknown part and shuts the bike down or fries it self.

Can you do a video on the T3 front and rear signals and how we can connect that to the CAMsmart?

Here’s the video you’re looking for ruclips.net/video/Rf3N-oSD_WE/видео.html. Yes, I had my R1200GSA doubled with gen 1 and 2.

Ok, I’ve watched it but am still a bit confused. I’ll keep reviewing the daisy chain connection.
Daisy chain basically means you’re adding another one. Like links on a chain.
Ok God 🤦🏻! Now I’ve seen this I realise I NEEEEEED them!!
Go for it

I need your advice , regarding fog lights how did you connect them??
Can these be run as amber running lights like the 21MY GS / Africa Twin style at the front? Always think amber looks more obvious than white.
Yes they can but only if you run them via the cansmart. I have video on this. Just need to edit.
i have a pair of these in the draw still no connected up yet have had them foe a year or two

Yes I’ve been hearing this too. Haven’t had the opportunity to try connecting them up to a 21 model bike yet without cansmart.
Hello Phil. I have the same problem , do you have any solution ?
@@PabloGarcia-ft2wc it would require a can smart to do it properly

What's the color of the original indicator wires that you connected to? If you could elaborate on the actual connections a little more on the GSA!

Hi unfortunately not. The soundbomb needs the relay whether that be in the cansmart or using an independent relay.

No, not my mate nick but the owner of this bike is called Nick. Does that count? 😂
1 month until my DMC sidecar build begins.
Good guess, lots of exclusive GSAdv s with gold wheels out there.
Are these homologated/legal?
Both front and rear T3’s have their own E mark numbers. So yes they are.
