Malice mizer is one of those rare bands that give you mixed emotions. I just wish they still made this wonderful music!

@@user-vd5tw8wr6n yes, we know. Gackt is around.. but Malice Mizer is not. The music Malice Mizer created was different and the aura and everything was different.
Malice mizer was one those rare bands with unique music and aesthetics. Really wish we had more bands in this french-gothic style aesthetic. I got hooked into Versailles aesthetic because of these guys!

Same here. After Malice Mizer, I finally find a band similar which was Versailles sadly they disbanded as well.

hands down one of their best songs during gackt era, it’s like all of their songs give me these emotions in a positive way, maybe serotonin? because i can’t go one day without listening to them, they don’t make groups or music like this anymore honestly
hey i have a question, i just found out about them and i was wondering:
why do they have names for like "eras" ? (gackt era, tetsu era etc) what's era and why do they add their names?
The band has had 3 vocalists, so to describe each different vocalist of malice mizer we use the word era because each vocalist gave the band a different sound! For example i like the tetsu era most for its gothic elements . Did i explain well or do you have any questions?

i don’t think any other band can give me the same raw emotions and feelings while listening to their music like mm, it’s just something about them and their music that give me serotonin bursts everytime i listen
Yu-ki was always the backbone of MM. Just fantastic bass playing, can never get enough. Yu-ki and Kami.
I was just realizing that today. I started playing bass about ten years ago but haven’t revisited MM much in that time. Holy hell he just nails it. Learning some of their music is on my to do list.

Their music is honestly tragically beautiful. It makes you wonder if they were every happy. This video is amazing. I know I’ve heard this song before but for some reason I don’t remember it. Thank you.
It wasn’t during Malice Mizer era but I watched Gackt react to his first big tour. It’s kind of heartbreaking hearing the behind the scenes issues he had going straight from the hospital to the venue and getting so many steroid injections for his throat infection that they just stopped working. It really made me think of what MM and other groups really could’ve been going through. Like- Klaha disappearing, Kami dying from something commonly related to drug and alochol abuse. It’s just sad to think about

EXIGA 2012 Malice Mizerは今でもヴィジュアル系の最高峰だと思っています。これを超えるバンドなんて過去にも未来にも存在しないのではないでしょうか。

Gackt's singing in a forward position more than usual, idk how I feel about it. He usually sings back and low. This kinda sounds like other singers but his signature vibrato is still there that's good

Now after twenty-four years of loving them I still see some of these interviews and clips (which used to be in REALLY low res mpeg on Japanese Channel online) and I fall in love all over again. I love them so much. They really formed me as the weirdo I am along with David Bowie :)
