    I just maidened my Grand Tundra today. Wow what an amazing aircraft! Flies so well for a foam plane. Good job Avios.

    You suggest 4S or 6S 3000 mAh. The operation manual suggests 4S or 6S 4000 mAh. Which one I should follow?

    Would rather see water rudder on floats with servo extensions.

    Great video and a great model. I have one on my wishlist, and I think this will be my winter project.
    Then I wonder where i can purchase the model. As far as I have experienced there is no Hobbyking dealer in Norway, and to purchase it from a webshop in Europe or US, only the shipping costs up till $120.
    Then a technical question. I have good experince to cover foam models with laminating foil. Then the model then are going to be more robust, (I'm only an intermediate RC pilot). My experience is that there are changes in the CG, but I've adjusted that with ballasting. I'd like to hear your opinion on that issue.
    Happy flying - Sverre

    Looks great. Did you guys ever change the plastic for the ball links? The plastic on the original was only good for a one way trip on the ball if you had to remove it and re install, it was stretched out

    Hi, can you recommend a good DSMX receiver for this I have a DX8, should I get the Spektrum ones with or without AS3X or another brand that uses DSMX, also i see it recommends using a 7ch Rx to work the lights properly, is that so? And can they be/how would I get them to be off, on, blinking landing lights with half flaps, full on landing lights with full flaps, thanks

    Someone mentioned 5s. Good Question - What about using 5s?

    • @mrvoyagerm
      @mrvoyagerm 6 лет назад +1

      I'll answer my own question - I have my Grand Tundra now and Yes I have used 4, 5, and 6s in mine and they are simply plug and play. The ESC recognizes the correct cell count right away and you are set to go. I just use the 6s prop for all batteries with lower amps and great results. I find 6s to be amazing, but if you are just out to cruise around and enjoy the day then 5s is just right. 4s is noticeably lighter and gives a more scale (slower) more relaxed flying experience as expected.

    It the Avios was a balsa built up plane I would buy it to train new pilots. But I hate foam airplanes so I just can not do it.

    A nice looking plane , but not for a beginner , there are electrical contacts in the wings = no good it should just have been wire and plugs.
    That landing on the tundra is CRAP first time a new beginner do his first solo landing just a little rough on a grass field the landing gear is bustet and do is the plan because hobbyking have on spare parts program, so if you buy this snd something brakes on the plane you can throw the whole plane away. ....
