Oh Love Love Love that...how it turned out....( fully watched) as I also have a couple of my round tables which I got inherited from my grandparents, they are very good in structure but still little outdated so I was thinking to paint it like this in MacKenzie Childs pattern...kindly can you guide me that the paints you used , is it water base or oil base...or what you suggest should be used for furniture....your table really turned out a very High end especially with the gold trim, it looks fabulous 🥰😍💕 thank you so much for sharing your talent, I really got inspiration 😍💕🌺

Hi, can you tell me what brands of paint you used. I have a rectangular very scratched, wood table on a wrought iron base that I want to do the same white black check with gold edge. I can’t believe I found your video, it’s exactly what I’m looking to do but on a larger table. Since my table is so large I’m thinking of adding a gold rectangle in the middle with a black border to break up the check pattern. Any advice you could provide would be much appreciated since this is my first attempt at such a project. Thank you

Do you use a sealer after you painted this? If so, what did you use?
Hi, thank you stopping by my channel, I really appreciate it.
I used Polycrylic Protective Finish - Clear Semi-Gloss.
Another sealer I use is clear coat from Dixie Belle.
It all depends what paint I use.

May I ask what grit of sandpaper you used so as to not damage the wood?
Hi , So sorry for the late reply, I'm trying to get through over 6,500 comments 😍 and I don't want to leave anyone out no matter how long ago I received the comment.
It all depends on how much you want to remove from the piece.
If It's painted I use 100, 80, and on occasion 60.
if its a light sand I use I use 180...
The lower the number the coarser the grit
.

Yes I’ve done a tray and candles.
The tray I did in checks the candles I did with the black bird.. the bird was very old napkins.. I haven’t seen them in a long time..
I do love the frog and would love to get 2 myself.
What I’ve been doing lately is buying a few packs at a time when new ones come out..

I really dislike this table, maybe even hate it which is not a word I use often. It looks cheap and trashy. Was OK til you started doing (whatever it was you put on the top squares). Then painting the scroll work white was even a bigger faux pas. Paint it black and start again please. MacKenzie Childs would be embarrassed tht you compared this to her style.
