Please refuse using the ending -s in Present Simple. It is getting old-fashioned. We don't need to use it in singular verb forms because -s is an indicator of PLURAL for substantives (book - books, house - houses) That's why "it seems" sound illogically. "He/she/it is ONE person/subject, that's why he/she/it don't need -s. We should say "it seem" as well as we do it in Past Simple - all verb forms are the same for each person (I seemed, you seemed, he SEEMED) It make the system of verbs well balanced.
