Acton Railway Yard (West) + GWML (West London) on 29th February 1996
WELCOME TO 1996
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of the Western Entrance/Exit to Acton Yard taken on 29/02/1996. Usually quite a busy location. but on this occasion the yard seemed fairly quiet apart from some light stock moves and LE's. Meanwhile the Western Mainline appeared normal with 165/166 class Turbo's and HST's plus the Cross Country Class 47 hauled train heading West towards Reading. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually. Sit back and enjoy this latest production remembering all those now long gone Locomotive classes and other types of traction. Many thanks for all subscriptions and all of those viewers who have kindly shown an interest in my material.

Standing on the bridge that carries the infamous North Circular Road. You can still occasionally get Turbos on the line into Paddington.
Noel Road
A406 Hanger Lane is the next bridge west.
Notoriously busy and noisy, probably even worse now......Many thanks and best wishes......Mark
