I am also obsessed with buffalo check, especially the red and black. I had to pause the video so I could order all the supplies to make this wreath! I think I'm going to put a little red truck on mine because I'm also obsessed with those. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity!
I also watched the whole thing. And yes, I just like to craft. Wished I started when I was a lot younger. Enjoy watching you. You are so really down to earth .
You have moved me back to crafting, I stopped because , well life .. but watching you make these beautiful wreaths has given me so much joy that I just bought all the supplies new tools and remaking my craft corner. I’m watching this in January but will be using this technique for a spring wreath and to make your heart Valentines wreath. Thank you.
🐕🐕I have 2 dogs, they like to supervise what ever I'm working on. The wreath is Beautiful!!! I don't have buffalo plaid ribbon, but I do have several yards of the red and black buffalo plaid fabric, and while watching your video it hit me, I could cut it into strips, join them, fold them in half, then gather it all on the serger, which will not only gather, but give it a finished edge. I will definitely be making this wreath. Thank you for sharing your time, and your talent. I enjoy all your videos, and the beautiful wreaths you make.
I love this wreath and your tutorial was great! I didn't have the buffalo plaid ribbon but I did have buffalo plaid fleece fabric! I cut it into 6 - 8 inch strips, I stitched 2 pieces together to form the 3 rows, folded each strip in 2, did a running stitch to ruffle the strips (rows) - I used what I had! I used a couple of 2 inch strips of the fleece to wrap a Dollar Tree 14 inch wire wreath form. And then I followed the rest of your instructions. Instead of the black trim I made my own trim from more of the fabric. The wreath turned out beautiful!
🐶❤️😍 I loooove your wreath! I just found you by accident and I’m so glad I did, thank you for sharing and I can’t wait to see all your other videos ❤️❤️ Louisiana
I don’t know if anyone suggested this already, but I would try a sewing needle for the wire to put it through the burlap. 🤷🏻♀️ Maybe it might work. I don’t know. I too love buffalo plaid. I could see doing a wreath with the red burlap showing because they’re so complimentary together. Hmmm, so many ideas.😁 I love your wreath Julie❣️ It’s so Christmassy and I wouldn’t want to take it down because I love the plaid sooo much❣️😊❤️🖤❤️🖤
🐶 I have a doggie too and they always seem to want something when you're in the middle of something lol. I have a cat too and he plays with my ribbon while I'm working it lol. Gotta love pets, they bring such joy. Beautiful wreath, love the buffalo check
I know what I will be doing this weekend...........love it. So glad when I was surfing RUclips that I came across your channel. I went on and subscribed. Looking forward to seeing more of your wreaths.
I made this one today. It came out really cute! I don't like poinsettias so I put our initial in the middle instead with some red berries on the bow. I'm so grateful for your inspiration and instructions. I love all your creations!!!
Great video, Julie! I’m going to make one today. I, too, am obsessed with Buffalo Plaid this year. I’m so glad I watched this video. This configuration will work throughout the entire year in different colors, floral selections, etc. Thank you for sharing your talent!
Oh Julie what a beauty! So ingenious and commend you for your creation, and talent. It’s easy too which you can decide how to attach or running hem, it’s good. You are a perfectionist and your wreaths are amazing. The black cord sets off the finished ruffle. Thank you so much.
It doesn't need to be super expensive - all you would need is a needle for that wire, to thread it through the burlap. It is really simple. I have used jewelry wire that is super thin (probably not as thin as the wire in wired ribbons, but it is pretty thin, being it used to crochet or knit links instead of using chains). Or even try a jewelry needle - those are flexible, that would be the best thing to use with the wire that is in most wired ribbons - Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby, Joann, & Michaels all have a pretty tiny wire in their wired ribbons.
I have to say this is genuinely one of my favourite, if not then possibly my favourite wreath tutorial I've seen. It's absolutely gorgeous. My Father passed recently & not only was he in the forces many yrs back but he raised a lot of money for charities, The Scottish Poppy foundation being one of them. I'm thinking this would look good as a poppy wreath? Having bad Arthritis in my hands a smaller size might be ideal, would a smaller one look as good??🐶🐶
Julie, i am also a wreath maker and craft person. I just want to say, I absolutely LOVE your wreaths and ideas you come up with!!!! It's one thing to make a wreath but another to have taste and making it look beautiful!! I appreciate you and love your videos!!! Happy Holidays!!
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful wreath. I absolutely love the ruffles. I have made 3 of them and all sold immediately 🤗🤗🤗. Again I can’t thank you enough for inspiring me to make as well. Keep up with your beautiful work and wonderful tutorials 😊.
I'm a year late lol I am interested in making one of these. I have a round sign I wanted to use in the middle...would you happen to know the diameter of the inside circle of the wreath? Just want to make sure the sign will work. Thank you!

Suggestion Julie for the wire. Thread it through a needle and problem solved. Love your wreaths. You do beautiful work!
That’s perfect because the wire is so long!

Louisiana
If you didn't have wired ribbon you could always make a running Stitch with thread and pull it through to make a ruffle
Absolutely!
Verynic
You could actually used fabric - folded over, base stitch to pull/gather.
I started to wrap my frame with anew roll of burlap and I ran out of burlap long before I finished. Can I use ribbon or anything other than burlap ?
Looks so pretty
