The animation feels very textured like old school anime. However i believe this is CGI, correct?

I didn't do the animation, I just edited the M E C H A video from youtube premiere intro. But yes, 99% sure it was done in 3D with shaders and textures that have that anime look + post-production. You can check out the authors, I mentioned them in the description. They make great stuff.
