What I want to say that even if you don't do your path pooja daily but still do other things right, You can still be a good person.

The female characters has to be religious thing is sooo on point. My mom and my grandmom are both super religious and I am not. But they always expect me to do stuff which I don't want to. Not only movies but daily soaps as well tend to show female characters who are super religious.

The bit at 1.05-1.08 where Rani talks about being in London, and the links with sanskar happens is repeated in other Indian films. There is this impression that an Indian who grows up outside of India has no-sanskar or is bad, which is such a horrible prejudice to have. Equally in other films like K3G and DDLJ, there is a similar message.
