Sega only had to make a song for a battle between an evil genie and an anthropomorphic hedgehog with super speed, yet they decided to deliver the hardest hitting videogame soundtrack of the 00's

Physically, Erazor Djinn has to be one of the scariest Sonic villains out there (not counting monsters like Dark Gaia).
I'm still holding scariest villain to Mephiles, being that he's essentially the Slade of the Sonic universe: egotistical, sadistic, sociopathic, manipulative, etc.

The best Sonic villains always are in one single game. Erazor Djinn, Mephilis, etc. They are only in one game, and never appear as a main baddie again. It's sad really.

Sonic always managed to give you the direct, no pussyfooting around whack-your-enemy-in-the-face kind of fight (also punching them in the heart repeatedly.) really conveys the impact of blows.

Actually, it was because Erazor didn’t know that manipulating fate doesn’t work on Sonic, and so Sonic didn’t die.

Down to the opening scene to the fight, this sent a massive, rapid, bone splicing chill down my spine.
Trust me, I have this game on Wii as we speak and this game gets frustrating. The missions get slow, the obstacles get borderline unavoidable, and it feels like everything is working against you and the only thing you have to combat it is the blue hedgehog you pilot across the screen.
Fighting this boss for the first time was nothing short of a brutal wake up call manipulating every skill you learned from the other bosses.
This fight, was no joke the first time playing it.
It felt like hell and it was just like Erazor just knew what I was going to do, before I did it.
The song is excellent, pushing the idea that this person is the cause for all of the bullshit you've been through, and this is your final chance to put him and this twisted world to rest once and for all.

true but when the pattern is as difficult to memorize as the djinns then it just becomes interesting he was not like eggman were its the same thing to were you race him to some location and hit him eight times the djinn had different types of attacks like slashing u with his razer or dashing at you at a fast speed or a combination of both attacks at once you know what i mean

Honestly, I've faithfully played every sonic game. Each one had their own quirks, sure. But, each one had its own challenges, its own form of fun. I loved the Storybook Series as much as I have Sonic Adventure 2. It's just my opinion though.
