Why not add the current price of each camera in the video? For most people, it’s an important part of the comparison. Pricing helps in figuring out where you might get the best value… i just don’t get why people bother to make “best of” or any type of comparison video without mentioning price or key factors that help viewers make their decisions. You are just listing features. Now, i have to go watch other videos that actually have REAL value.
That takes too much time - these channels are all about rehashing manufacturers details with no real value. They are in essence a waste of time as offer nothing more than a Google search with no subjective input

Nice video. But! In my country are availibly only Kodak and Olympus. Other are sold out coz' they are old models, probably. I was searchin' and I probably go for Kodak, is half price the Olympus.

This video is so old that in 2024 most of presented products are discontinued or replaced by newer models. Why is it called "5 Waterproof camera to Buy in 2024"?
Just regurgitating other reviews and articles online. You haven't even held these cameras or used them in the environments they are meant for. Just stock footage and a shitty voiceover reading the marketing materials/specs...
Kodak WPZ2 cannot connect via wifi to your phone, because Kodak app doesnt work at all, rating of the app is 1,9 out of 5 ....

I truly don't understand how a video posted 3 years ago (supposedly in 2021) was talking about cameras to buy in 2024.

I am disappointed with Nikon W300
You can not make a 10 minutes movie at 4k 30 fps (it stops at 7 minutes at 4Gb file length).
I think there is a bug inside the camera and the recording stops at 4Gb and never restarts
This is very bad for underwater movies as everything can shut down at the end of 1.5 meters stick,
exactly when the fish come in front of the camera
I remember making one-hour movies on all the other underwater cameras that I bought
(GoPro, Panasonic, Ricoh, and even on other Nikon cameras)
This is completely stupid because even other Nikon cameras start a new 4Gb file or switch cards for bigger cameras
I will probably buy a GoPro 10 and keep this toy for rainy days when I need zoom

I looked at Olympus TG-6 specs and is written "stops after 29 minutes" (maybe they are talking about FHD and 4k may have the same 7 minutes limit)
Please check the 4k 7 minutes it for us as I will buy a GoPro next - My heart is already suffering too much from my 400 EUR on Nikon W300 but I have to keep it for rainy days and protect my other cameras - It is more an insurance than a buying decision (OK - I like the zoom test, and on 4k digital zoom is not that bad)

I agree with not using my Huawei P40 Pro underwater (even if it is 4k 60fps for hours nonstop (!! P30 Pro tilts after 20 minutes and loose movie))
This is because if you hit your phone on the floor some invisible holes can kill your 1000$+ phone in water.

Panasonic LUMIX Waterproof took water after one year and died, the close button is not that secure as at Nikon

I think it's all to do with the size of the memory card and what format its formatted in, 4gb chunks are normal but should stitch together in an editing software
Your advice is good for Panasonic X1500 where you have 2 cards and when one gets full in the middle of the recording, it automatically goes to the other card on a new file - then you join files in your editing software (I am OK with that)
My issue here is that if you do not watch the red REC info on the screen and see when it stops and press the REC button again you lose important moments of your movies and you destroy your whole one-year holiday because of the wrong camera (and when the camera is in front of the stick you check it at the start and after 30 minutes of scuba you notice only 7 minutes of the movie and lose the nice fish that came at minute 15).
My cards were formated by cameras that can create 20 Gb files or more. The problem here is that a 4Gb file is an old technology used by Nikon W300 and Olympus TG-6 and sold in 2021 (with very old technology of 32 bits internal memory stuff)
Like the "year 2000" bug, this is the "32 bits addressing bug with maximum 4Gb file" even if you format the card for larger files
They even describe this in users manual at pages like 300 (instead of publishing this on the boxes of their products)
They get away with selling in 2021 products that are not updated to years old bugs
I will come back with links to the manuals and the pages where they describe this BUG
@@anthonysmith5979 I was thinking a lot at your advice and can not understand why they do not open a new file and continue the recording on that new file. I found some windshield video cameras that do that and work even 24 hours (they even can rewrite old files if you do some settings). It is so simple. You find 100 files on your card and I work with my windshield car cameras small 4Gb files even better than with big files (they have time stamps and you go directly to the moment of interest)
But Nikon and Olympus do not care about solving their issue with their very very old technology
So I wrote 3 more answers to your solution and I will return back to the shop my Nikon W300 camera
I tested in the rain yesterday W300 and Huawei P40 Pro, and the P40 smartphone is better with night low light movies, works in rain, and can do 4k 60 fps (instead of 4k 30fps at Nikon and Olympus). I will never go underwater with a smartphone (even if advertised as ok to do it) so I will be back with my Ricoh and GoPro 10 scuba tests
W300 have a such nice sensor for natural light, a very good sealing system and the most important point for me is that support 30 mts without problems and is not so expensive. I higly recomend you to update his firmware and get a bigger capacity SD card. Also you can join the videoclips with pc software.
