Most of what's on Colin's Lab is way below the level that I'm looking for most of the time. But it's still great to watch because Colin is such a good presenter.
All of Collin's videos are really good. The style of presentation is captivating. And great information about MIDI. Piezo triggers are a great suggestion.
Now could you use MIDI for other things besides music? One example is if I wanted to use it to control a certain speed of RC car and have the button control lights or some other function?
One interesting detail fact. Lots of show. Wow. Do you know what is possible with CV control though, for example that it doesn't force specific values but adds up with other values if wanted?! ;)
Oliver Ward It's not as simple as the video makes it out to be. You have to understand how the arduino functions, know how to code it, know how much voltage components take, etc. That being said, don't let that information discourage you. Arduino makes things like this incredibly easier than other methods used in the past. Plus, a lot of the components are reusable, so you can make other things out of them when you finish a project (if you choose).
WE NEED MORE COLLIN'S LAB!!!
No Collin = No RUclips!
+lego30620 I agree!

This is awesome. Please do a video explain how to make a VOCODER from scratch electronic components, for the cost of lunch money.
vocoders are actually quite expensive due to their many channels. each channel is very simple, but when youve got 16 of them, its a bit of a handful
MIDI is such a sweet kitty and I desire more
His style is unique!
Love you collin sir..
Yeesss Collin's lab!!
Please make more Collin vids!

Pretty cool. I was actually thinking of making a controller for my old Yamaha keyboard that used MIDI. Must've read my mind lol.
Could you make a vid on like a guitar that works like an ototo and how to make it cause i couldnt find any one who did :)
More Collins lab!!!!!!!!!!!! Please!!!!
Hey Collin, great video as always. Super fun and informative. Thanks and all the best !
Yes, very informativr, but this Plug you called "DIN-Plug" is in fact a XLR plug. The female connector (next to the USB Type B) is a DIN-connector.
More Collins lab!!!!!
Would that be ch. 1 not ch. 2 in the video?
Those drumpads look nice, where can one obtain such beasts?
Try a music store. Derringers, South Australia.
Great video!
Hey Limor Fried will the content of this video (the Music Maker Shields) be turned into learning guides?
And the answer was no.
