The only reason I chose the platform over the poca version is because I wanted the OT8 set, since I'm only getting 1 version of each album moving forward. The 1/8 digipack feels worse than the outlaw platform shenanigans😬
Feeling bad for the serious collectors...
honestly at this point ateez is going to turn into a casual collection for me. as an ot8 collector who is an ot collector of every group i stan (ot13 seventeen, ot23 nct, ot8 stray kids, etc) ateez has taken up a lot of my time and money for collecting just due to the sheer amount of photocards theyve been producing with every comeback. i love ateez, i love collecting them, bu t its getting to be too much for me.
for example, i make freebie photocards (digital paintings of concept/cute photos of them) for concerts and the amount of photocards i need to produce (well, want to produce) are sets from the concept photos that have been releasing plus one extra "mystery set" so to speak. so each set is 800 cards, 100/member. im in pain, anything for atiny, but i swear the amount of pcs i make dont even come close to the amount that they make per comeback *crying thumbs up cat meme*
I was going to collect ot8 but as soon as the previews came out i changed my mind😂

My plan for collecting OT8 album inclusions is accomplishing it through GOs because the way I see it, Minirecord and Makestar will probably do enough fancalls to get OT8 Platforms and POCA albums over the era period, and I’ll not stress over how quickly I’m able to get them. I’m not sure if I’m going to do OT8 for digipaks, but I’m already getting inclusions for 19 photobook versions and 8 digipaks…this may be the last time I do a true priority joiner spot for preorders for Korean stores, and it’s only the first time I’ve ever done it 😂
I’m excited to not have to hunt down all of Seonghwa’s POBs later and pay more for them, though, especially since I just know some of the ones we’re getting are going to be SO expensive secondhand, even more than normal.
Also, I think the difference between the Platform and the POCA are the company that produce them, because Minirecord owns the Platform version app, and Makestar owns the app for the POCA versions.
Overwhelmed as all hell… I thought I’d spent enough on aniteez, then we had the album announcement, then we had the US announcement, then they hit us with the POCA and platform-true betrayal… did feel a bit hurt there. In the UK as well, don’t get me started on the shipping fees (sob)

i will only be buying (pre-ordering) one of the standard version so i hope i can but on of the walmart exclusive cards bc they look soooo cute😭
Really excited for this comeback! Though I totally agree when it comes to all the album versions 😓 I dont collect ot8, but having to focus on so many album versions for ateez comeback and then I have ults like seventeen and nct who also just comes with a waterfall of versions is so hard to keep up with 😭 So far, I bought the standard albums and 1 purple digipack and then my bestie and I bought the brown digipack bundle and we're splitting it between our biases, but I'm skipping the platform and poca album because holy jesus😭😭
I wonder if they do both the platform and the poca because makestar does most of their fancalls/fansigns with pocas only. And in the comments here I guess someone said that the platform app is owned by minirecord so it also makes sense that if they want to use these companies for fancalls, they would need to add these versions.
Also, I don't collect ateez, but I get overwhelmed with lit every other group I collect lol like the amount of cards you need to collect increases every era. I'm so tired
I'm actually exited for this comeback. I'm getting my albums from Walmart because it's like 10 minutes away. I've already pre-order some, so i just need 21st to roll by fasssstttttttt 😭
In the platform version it says you get a set of image cards at least.

Since the digipacks arent random member pc this time i FEAR how hard itll be to complete those sets. But since theyre doing fancall with digipack entries maybe it wont be too bad🫣

Fyi, the FNAC shop one is a french retail chain. I assume you can say they're kinda the same entertainment media and electronics saler as Target? But more focused on the entertainment part. And yeah it's their first time participating in the exclusive photocards fever haha
Btw Fnac is a shop in most of Europe so that's what it is 😅 Also it's not f n a c we say Fnac as a whole
for the normal album version -> isn't it cheaper to buy 2 photocards you need (or more then 2 from 1 person to have less shipping costs) then to buy the album for 2 random photocard that you will probably have to trade? because buying 8 album sets its gonna sooooooooo expensive and the reason i dont collect ot8
Ps: this is just to help and not to hate because as an collector myself i know how expensive collecting can be.
yes for sure! it’s way cheaper! i’m not actually going to buy 24 albums. i get most of my pulls from joining group orders or buying them from mercari. i was just saying that technically you would need that many albums to complete ot8
