Here in Chile there is a lot of news about large fires in California. I don't know you or where you are, but I only ask that you take good care of yourself and that I can soon find out how your work of art, that Land Rover Defender, is coming along. A big kiss and hug and take care of yourself!!!
Thank you!! I love this project so much it’s been my biggest dream for 8 years! These next upcoming videos are going to be SO GOOD, I can’t wait until the paintjob is done and all the new parts can be added. It’s going to look so good when it’s done!
@@ZiennaSonne your passion for it shines thru and it makes it super interesting. knowledge does too. never drove a landy but they badassss. literally a street legal tank. would you ever consider repainting it in the future like if you feelin a diff color?
Good for you getting in there and getting your hands dirty. This is obviously a huge job but sets a good example of self reliance that owners should have for basic understanding of their vehicles. I'm a 4runner guy but looking forward to see how this project evolves. Great video thanks
I am excited to see you working so motivated and happy with your great team, they are restoring a work of art, they take out and put in engines and I don't understand English enough to understand everything (in your channel configuration you could put the possibility of subtitles in Spanish) Even though With the images of your happiness and work you feel that everything is going very well. I wish you the best and I never tire of congratulating you and your team.
Just thinking about the front axle, you should be able to rebuild the D1 axle using the outer swivels from the 90 axle, then rebuild using the D1 hubs etc... That way it swaps the arm location and all is workable. D1 axle is better generally as stronger and also can fit alloys directly to it without the need for rubbish spacers. I have a few sets of swivels to rebuild in the next few weeks, it's not a difficult job as you have a mentor to guide you. Mine is planned to be going auto soon, box and everything sits there waiting for time/space to do it. This year should be a good year for the Lans Rovers!
@@ZiennaSonne awesome! a lot of people wouldn't have thought about that... It's actually the sort of thing we get asked on the FB group I help run which is dedicated to pretty much exactly what you're doing, Hope the project goes well, would love the V8 here, but it's not practical as fuel costs are stupidly high, but I live fords so the 300tdi diesel is the choice. Auto so I can have a specific toy, and cruise control. 😀
Super cool! For how long have you been working on the car? Defenders is the way to go! Haha I love your videos. Good job 👏 Are you uploading videos each Sunday?
It depends on how much work we get done each week - tomorrow we start cleaning up the chassis + fix rust spots. Then we take out the turbo diesel, and place the V8. Not sure if we can make it all in one week, but by the time we finish that, I will upload part 3! 😊
Looking good. Will the steering knuckles on the new disco axles need modifications to run RHD in the 90? I’m guessing they’re identical, which should make the swap relatively easy 🤞
i did engine swap on my defender but decided to go for bmw m57 lovely smooth engine with tonnes of torque and power would recomend to anyone refined engine mines mapped to 300bhp amazing with auto box,the rear axel is diffrent on a disc to a defender the prophaft mount for a start and if i rember the actual diff housing is diffrent aswell as the rear brake calipers are smaller on the disco
I've had a V8 SIIA for 10yrs and decided over xmas I was finally going to move it onto a new owner- then RUclips starts showing me pretty lady Land Rover propaganda. I'm doomed.

Thank you!
wow a nice and powerful engine for your Defender 90. great choice
It worked out perfectly!! Found the discovery for a good price, and took the opportunity 🙏🏻
@@ZiennaSonne Lucky you! Am still stuck with the old 300Tdi engine. Takes forever to reach 100km per hour 😂
Cool video Zienna, been a fan since your Hot Shots days, nice to see you doing new and different things.

I felt a little sorry for that Discovery but it will be part of something great.

If there is a load of oil and grease on the gearbox and engine, pressure washing will not get rid of it. It will just bead off.
I was surprised not to see a steam cleaner.
It woulda been real cool to restore both. Ziefender, Ziescovery.

How did you learn all this? Are you like a self taught mechanic or did someone teach you? I find this super inspireing as a fellow car girl! 😍
👌👋👋👋
Nice progress! I noticed you left the AC compressor on the discovery engine. Are you going to be adding AC to your 90?

Is there a way to mate this v8 to a manual transmission?
What happened to your finger you injured? 🤕 😮😮
