If you exclude the faces of the big DHH record labels, the other members of those labels are almost non-existent. Let's take Kalamkaar for example. Kr$na is definitely the face of that label and the other members are just there. Karma got some momentum during the beef season, now even his hype is dying. Talented artists are doing much better on their own, Bella is a great example.

Staying independent is the better option in this day and age. 95% of the DHH artists who made it big are independent. DHH record labels aren't just going to sign anyone, they're going to sign talented artists who are somewhat established. Then why give the control to a label? If you're consistent enough you can do it on your own. A slow and steady rise is better than a sudden rapid rise with the help of a label. These artists have the option of building a solid position for themselves and with the right team it eventually happens. Also as an independent artist you don’t need the reach the level of Emiway to become successful. If you're somewhere in the middle you are also fine.
My problem is that most of the emiway fans said in the comments that they support him just because he's independent and not signed to any label, like wtf, you should support a rapper/any public figure because of his content.
