Thanks so much Wendelyn, it's so important for me to know the tutorial is clear to follow, as well as the pronunciation. I'm sure you will make a lovely cape, so lucky you already have the material for it :) Best wishes!!
I made your caplet...... but did not add the cable as I got lost in translation . So I continued rows to the desired length and add a fancy edging of my own. Thank you for easy to follow tutorial.
Happy you could finish your cape anyway, Im sure it turned out beautiful 😊😊💐💐. Im aware instructions might not seem clear in more elaborate patterns like this, with all the editing in the video. If you want to give it another try in the future, you can find written instructions here too chabepatterns.com/patterns/free-patterns-patrones-gratis/accessories-accesorios/cabled-capecapa-con-trenza/
Your concise instruction and clear videos are a pleasure to use. I will be making this cape but I think I may have to make this wider, I will let you know how it finishes. Do you know how to insert zips with tapestry crochet? I am thinking of a coin purse as an example. Thank you so much.
Hi Lesley, what a pleasure to read your nice comment, I really appreciate you letting me know that the instructions are clear. I'd love to see how your cape turns out, you can try it on as you crochet to make sure it's the right size. About your question, do you mean how to sew a zipper in a project with tapestry crochet? I suggest pinning the zipper first, first one side, then open the zipper to pin the other side. Open and close the zipper to make sure it's even on both sides. Then make a temporary seam before the final seam so you can sew comfortably, without the pins getting in your way and with everything in place without moving. Hope my answer is helpful, have a great day!! :)
I am making this now, finished the 13 rows and starting the cable. Question, to make larger , the top is increased by multiple of 12, what a out the cable portion ? This is beautiful but is small, I would like to make a medium and a large as well. Your instructions are well written and the video is the best
Thanks so much for following this tutorial. Yes, upper part is increased by a multiple of 12 so, you can go up to 120 or 132 stitches for larger sizes, making some rounds with same number of stitches in between to give it more length as well. For the cable part I would make it the same number of stitches, only a little longer, to cover the complete circumference of the upper piece. So final length of the cable band would depend on that. Hope my answer is helpful, let me know if you still have questions. Happy you like this design! 💐💐😊😊
Your video is very detail and it's such a lovely piece, however the finished piece is too small for me probably due to the yarn I used. If I want to crochet a bigger piece, what should my starting chain be instead of 72?
Hi Rebecca, thanks so much for following my tutorial and for your comment, I'm sorry the cape turned out smaller... you could start with 84 or 96 chains instead (it has to be a multiple of 12) and then make the necessary rounds with increases until you reach 120 or 132 stitches. Let me know how it turns if you give it a second try, have a lovely day!! :D
Hola buenas tardes tengáis!! Un gusto saludarle y felicitarle es muy lindo el chal, pero disculpe que le moleste podría por favor indicarme o indicarnos cuantas cadenas tejer de inicio y cada cuanto hay que aumentar?? Gracias, bendiciones infinitas!!
