But the idiotic Assam govt has legalised it without proper regulation and thus now the price is very low. That’s y South Indian govt have always regulated the sandal wood. Some desperate tree sellers just Hardly get 3000/4000 per tree after 15 years of sacrificing hahah. On average they just get 3500* 1200 =42 lakhs after 15 years net profit is just 30 lakhs. Per acre . Unless u have extra income source it’s utter foolishness to farm agarwood

Rubber plantation , agar plantation is trending as of now with a new entrant Plam oil tree plantation.. the point to be pondered upon is are we going to be fooled again on the land where it is considered one the best climate for most of the crops and trees to be grown ( nagaland as a whole I mean ).. our tropical temperate and monsoonal climate says it all. What lacks behind is our ignorance .we lack education . According to 2011 census nagaland literacy rate is 79.55% which is almost all Nagas are literate but what we lack is the right education. We are uneducated which is the bitter truth. The govt has a bigger role for sensitising the farmers and farming aspirants by giving training and development . Nonetheless the farmers or farming aspirants also should make efforts in equipping themselves with in depth knowledge of the particular crops or plant that they aspire to grow.. 6:49
